We see yet again Royal Carribean cruise line , erroding the benefits for the "crown and anchor " club loyalty scheme.  Happy hour diamond club -gone! Now diamond plus cruisers excluded from the concierge lounge. Well ,I for one am sick to the back teeth of the constant penny pinching and degradation of the whole cruise expereince wth Royal. After 15 years of cruising with this line , enough is enough and I  will be voting with my credit card and sailing with alternative cruise lines.

The gimmicks dressed up as benefits just simply deter sensible people . Cabin service reduced to once a day.  When the directors of Royal realise they are loosing market share and profits are falling they may want to consider why? Ciao Royal, you have just shot yourself in the foot......again!

I also loved Rhodes . I like the fact you can walk from the ship into Rhodes town . its wonderful

Istanbul has been dropped by several cruise lines as safety is paramount. It is a shame as I love the city , but the decision has to be right. With regards to the med . its a very big place and I am sure each port will be risk assessed .

no such plans that I have heard of, but then again I could see a reserved area set aside in the near future. if it generates more income it has to be an option.

We have booked many times in the US and have never had a problem because X allow you to book via the States. Unsure who told you that you would be denied boarding, but they probably have never booked themselves using a US TA ;)? Many of us on CC use US TAs :).

Its never been a problem for me . The dollar exchange is the only concern

on the last cruise on equinox we had a suite and we dined in blue three times .

You get better service, you have a different menu. You have a different dining expereince

and its nice.

We only used luminare three times , two speciality meals in tuscan grill , which I thought was outstanding , the rest of the time we shared a large table with other guests in the MDR

because we like to meet different people and chat.

Its all about choice,

The meals in blu I felt were far better than the MDR thats my personal view

also anyome wearing marigolds are not allowed in :)

also when you walk in they ask you a question

whats your favourite colour

and if you say

Blue

they let you in :)

Oh yes and I am also on a

gluten free

carbohydrate free

protein free

vegetable free

vitamin free

food free diet

so they give me a special plate to look at

which makes me feel special

i wish these people woud just stay in the house and have a packet of crisps

well I can honestly say that on equinox there was always a "squirty person "

at all the dining venues . Also an automatic dispensor at cafe al bachio

sweety pie and myself always used them and it became a bit of a habit.

my personal view is that if a ship has a known outbreak

Just returned from a excellent cruise on the Equinox.

My wife and I and the many friends we chatted to were unaffected.

It is important to use the hand wash at all times . You simply cant hand wash enough and this will diminish the chances of being infected.

The staff are taking all possible steps to contain the virus.

I can honestly say it did not impact upon our cruise at all.

We've returned from Equinox today - fabulous time and no illness for any in our party. Yes, there were many extra health safety precautions: no library books, serving in buffet etc., and a questionnaire was left in the cabins asking if anyone had experienced any GI symptoms during the cruise. Advisors were on the ship during our cruise, which is why I presume several other items were removed from our cabins mid cruise. X are obviously taking this to another level to ensure the ship is virus free.

 

It's a shame if Istanbul is removed from future cruises as we enjoyed our time there. In fact, after such a short visit, it's made us want to return. It was a little chaotic at the start of the cruise due to the last minute changes and I've never experienced so many pax in tears at GS due to lost luggage etc. We didn't leave until well after the schedule time after embarkation as they were still waiting for certain late flights etc.

 

No one in our particular section of the deck, according to our steward, was ill during the cruise (and we did see all of our immediate neighbours enjoying their sailing). We did hear of both pax and crew that had been I'll though. Wash, wash, wash will definitely help everyone. Btw, we saw many still refusing to use the hand sanitisers and also those (not children either) grabbing food instead of waiting to be served at the buffet stations. One older lady licking her fingers and she was eating items she had just picked up :eek:!

yes I saw her too ! she was with her husband and their friends and three teenagers .

strange thing was she was wearing marigolds! :eek:

I thought "now thats funny " :D
