IIRC on SS GEMINI all cabins have the two single beds which can be configured as either two single beds with a space in between, or as a double by pushing them together . The beds have a bracket on two inner legs that allows them to be coupled together as a double. Just e-mail :

starcare @starcruises.co.my when you know your cabin number and quote departure date etc and ask that your beds be configured as a double . Simple as that .

Hi Can anyone tell me I have heard the gemini will not be sailing after dec 2008, will another ship do its itinerary, also we did our first cruise in October aboard gemini straits of Mallacca, and enjoyed it so much have decided to do singapore to hong kong as late as possible next year probably september, is this agood time to go, regarding weather etc.

also are any other star cruise ships doing this itinerary and in any ones opinion are they as good as gemini

what hotel will you be staying at? Did you book theaccommodation as a package with the cruise?

We have 1 night before at the Grand Plaza Park Hotel (ex Grand Plaza Parkroyal) and 1 night after at the Grand Mercure Roxy (East Coast, closer to the airport). We have stayed at both previously. We only booked the cruise through a TA (and only because you cannot book direct with Starcruises) and the rest ourselves.

Have started throwing a few things in the luggage - it's getting closer :D:)

I am booked to go on the gemini in October, but I am now considering whether to swap to the virgo.

We are mid 40's, and like to have something to do most of the time.

but not fond of bingo or dancing, are there a lot of other activities onboard and a mixture of ages. or can someone recommend the maybe more suitable :confused: cruise
