Does anyone know when the winter 24/25 itineraries are likely to be released please.
-
It was 6 months with P&O as we found out when daughter fell pregnant. Full refund for the ones on her booking and our deposit accepted off another cruise.
-
All paid as we go in August. As we said the price drop is not an issue as it happens with all cruise lines, the issue was being misled by a Thomson travel agent. 7 weeks to go and still looking forward to it.
-
In your position I would be thinking "grrrrrr"
Can’t let it spoil our holiday, we’ve worked too hard for that. Leaves a sour taste but can always go back to P&O next year at least our loyalty is valued more there with on board discounts and free upgrades.

We had a similar problem, we booked months ago as the local Thomson travel shop advised the cruise was filling up quick when in actual fact it wasn’t and price drops were in place all the time. Got no problem normally with price drops but to be misled by a Thomson travel shop is disgusting. Customer service just sent a standard copy and paste email without looking into the real problem. We asked for prices to upgrade cabins and were quoted prices much higher than new bookings.

Could even use premier inn at the airport then metro and Marella shuttle on day of cruise. Nearest metro station to port is North Shields where you would need a taxi or another bus to the port.
-
London kings cross to Newcastle takes just over 3 hours. Hampton by Hilton is opposite station and get shuttle down to the port.

Got my standard copy and paste reply from customer services today. Never mentioned about being misled by travel agent or the ridiculous prices for upgrades compared to people with new bookings just the fact prices can go down which is not my complaint at all.
-
Paid final balance yesterday and enquired about price for upgrade from inside to outside and quoted £150. For new bookings yesterday the cruise was £88 each cheaper with upgrade for £128. Customer services was a total waste of time. As I said before I understand price drops and normally wouldn’t complain but to be misled by the Thomson travel agent saying cruise selling well so need to book early when this is not the case is disgusting. This is not our first cruise with the company but obviously no loyalty at all.

Really unhappy about the pricing this time. On the advice of a Thomson travel agent we booked our cruise ages ago as they said the cabins were selling quickly however there have been numerous price drops since and the cruise is considerably cheaper now for Discovery on August 11th. We have priced upgrades and have been quoted higher prices than anyone making new bookings. We do understand that prices can go down but when a Thomson travel agent misleads you when there are still loads of cabins left it is really frustrating. At least when we book with P&O our loyalty is usually rewarded with an upgrade and discount on our on board account.

Metro starts early and runs every 15 minutes on a Sunday. For car parking at the airport if you use the code metroc13 or park10 you normally get a discount. We nearly always go the night before and relax in the premier inn normally for around £30 a room. Whichever you decide on have a lovely time.

No luck for us, called and they wanted an extra £200. Wasn’t that much when we booked the cruise originally. Never mind we will keep trying.
-
We thought we got a similar deal on the discovery only to find after we clicked to accept the upgrade the price rose by £150. Had to phone customer services who restored our original price.
-
Says in the brochure that they still run
-
The metro runs every 12 minutes on a Saturday from central station to Whitley bay.

We only live 30 minutes away but have still booked the premier inn for our cruise on August 11th. Just hope everyone has booked the North Shields premier inn rather than the South Shields port of Tyne one.

Really don't know which way we prefer. We always leave the tips on for easiness but still feel that we would rather tip individuals who have provided the service. We have already prepaid for our Allure of the seas cruise in May and this was £131 for a 7 night cruise which makes the £6 a day seem very cheap. We have also sailed with Thomson where everything is included in the cruise fare and the service has always been superb. If we had to make a choice I would probably say go the Thomson way and make everyone the same and stop the volatile threads on every forum.

I had to book my holidays in at work so booked them for the original date, once we found about the change it was too late to change at work so have ended up booking with Royal Caribbean. Totally shocking how Thomson have handled this and total lack of communication between them and their travel agents.

We have used intercruises the last 3 years and no problems at all. It's a long journey for us but always had comfortable coaches.
-
Was hoping somebody else would create one first as not sure what to do. I have just done it now so hopefully more will follow.
-
We did Norway in August and the scenery was beautiful. Would possibly look better earlier in the year as more waterfalls to see.
-
We've already booked it for our cruise on the Allure in May.
-
We can't book holidays in at work until next year so not much good to us.
-
Probably st luciia, we've spent a couple of afternoons there on the rum punches.

We have travelled 5 or 6 times now from Washington services. We always stay in the Travelodge the night before (make sure you book southbound one) as 5.30 am start. Never had a problem with plenty of comfort stops etc. if you book the Travelodge best to ask for ground floor as no lift to first floor and across the motorway is a nice Italian restaurant for a nice meal.
