Question about the Wi-Fi - Applies to first 2 guests in stateroom. Only 1 device connected at a time.  If we each have a cell phone to use Wi-Fi, can I also use my laptop as a device, as long as we aren't using our cell phone connections at the same time?   TY

Can anyone describe their experience using a knee scooter for airport travel and an Alaskan cruise?  We are booked on Nieuw Amsterdam for mid-June, current planned excursions include Skagway Railroad, Glacier Discovery Helicopter tour; Juneau Mendenhall Glacier tour, Ketchikan currently nothing scheduled.  

Hoping I don't need it but just in case, want to keep my expectations realistic.

Appreciate the information in advance - it's been a decade since I've been on Cruise Critic so reacclimating my navigation for this upcoming cruise.  Have a few questions about the Holland - Nieuw Amsterdam Alaska Whittier to Vancouver June 2022

1. Not really pleased with our current Stateroom selection - what is the best way to monitor for openings, and is there a timeframe where we might see more changes/openings? (do not have a regular TA - used Costco, understand some feedback might be that was a mistake!)

2. What time is recommended to arrive in Whittier on June 12th for a 10pm departure? When does embarkation generally occur?  We are thinking of taking the train from Anchorage and arriving on the day of departure around 12:30pm - want to make sure this would be acceptable. It appears the train tickets are refundable if we need to make a change?  I noted people in other areas of the forum mentioned departure times changing to earlier in the day which would make a day of departure possibly problematic.  Accommodations the night before in Whittier are limited.

We are cruising on AmaLea Melodies of the Danube in a few weeks.. I see the excursions generally last up to 3-4 hours. Is the time after the excursion free for exploring on your own? Do most people eat lunch on the ship or should we plan to find a place for lunch while in port? What time does the ship usually leave the port each day? Thanks.
