  1. Thanks for the pix. This will be my first time on Carnival...2 previous cruises on RCCL. Is there anything in particular that I should look for, or is there anything not to miss?:D

We have cruised RCCL Mariner and once on Victory, all in all I will stick with RCCL, service better, ship MUCH nicer, worth the small difference in $.

Victory didn't have any change in food menu for breakfast or lunch, same things everyday. We found the ship difficult to move around on the same deck, lots of elevator hopping to get to another part of the ship. We did the 7 day, new port everyday, southern carribean, too much, too fast, no down time on ship. Ports were good, excursions were good, ship really cruised at night.

  2. This is not from personal experience, but just from what I have read on these boards. The Victory docks at pier 4 (I think) right across from Old San Juan. I am not sure about boarding time, but people have mentioned that that boarded, then got off the ship and did some sightseeing, then reboarded later in the day. Can someone else confirm this?

    THX!:D

Yes, we sailed the Victory in May 09, you can get on, get to your cabin and then leave to go shopping in SJ. You can buy any alcohol you want right there at the pier shops, just carry it on, no ?'s asked. We (4 of us) took about 2 or 3 bottles each if that is what you want. You can also buy mix or soda as well. Have a great cruise
