  1. Ship - Serenade of the Seas

    Deck - 7

    Stateroom # - 7600

    Stateroom Category – E1

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes, muffled music from Centrum every once in a while (especially on 70s night) but not disturbing in any way.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Excellent view, no obstructions, could see up, down and all around.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? -

Any specific problems with this cabin? - LOVED this cabin! Center of hump, great location near stairs & elevators and a great view from balcony. Would definitely book this room again.

Any other comments? Serenade is a beautiful ship and very clean. I thought the room was very tastefully decorated compared to other ships I've been on.

  2. Sorry we didn't get to meet! Where were you all week!!? Hope you had as good a time as we did! This particular cruise is ideal for a B2B.

We had the ultimate "family vacation" - didn't mingle much this cruise' date=' but spent a lot of time with our 18 & 21 year old daughters, which was nice. We were at Valley Church Beach with you though. I was looking through my pictures and I [u']think[/u] this is you in the background! :)

We hadn't been on RCCL in 17 years (Song of America, believe it or not!) and I'm a new convert. I LOVED this ship and the crew. I hope to do a lot more cruising now that our daughters will both be in college and our time will be more our own. Then again, with 2 in college, our money may not be more our own...but we'll work it out! :D

  3. I am confused, why do you say that shops will not be open. This past year we had some problems and we believe the Sunday closing is a thing of the past. Shops were open every day for the balance of the season, beginning about 01 May 09. You should have a lovely day discovering the wonders of my home.

As for the city walls, they are open rain or shine with limited hours in the winter. However this year the fee has increased to 70 kuna per adult, 30 kuna per child (12years and younger). Early September can still be very hot and humid so plan your time on the walls carefully. Sun hat, water, lots of memory in the camera and very good walking shoes.

I'm glad to hear this. I read on one of the sites linked here somewhere that shops were generally only open until 2:00 on Sunday. Our ship doesn't get in until 1:00. I'm just anxious to see the city, walk the wall and have some of the local food & drinks! The information you've provided on these threads has been very helpful - thanks!
