  1. From Catalina Island:  We are hurting economically by not having cruise ships visit.  Most of us are vaccinated and I don't think we've had a positive test in months. As a tourist town, you would think that we would have had lots of cases, but not really, and no deaths.  Now, people feel the freedom and our little town is packed with vacationers.  Only a couple of places require masking, mostly on the Catalina Express ferry.   No large ship cruises yet out of CA.  Our July cruise on Panorama cancelled, but hoping for Sept. 11, to be a go.

  2. How could I have forgotten about this ship?  It was way back in '79-'80, when my then boyfriend and I finally joined her in Kingston.  I say finally as fog had delayed us for 10 hours at LAX and we had to make a run for her.  We went everywhere:  Port Au Prince, San Juan, Barbados, Antigua, St. Lucia, Martinique (thrown in as their was Cholera in Trinidad, or something), Caracas, Aruba and Curacao.  How this was accomplished in 10 or 11 days is remarkable.  Our cabin was so small we had to climb over the bed to get to the bathroom.  I loved it.
