  1. Last time I was in Roatan after a tour with Victor Bodden we ended up at Bananarama. It was a fun beach spot and next cruise I would like to just go to Bananarama and hang out for a few hours. Do I need to book a tour or can I just get a cab to take me there? Thanks.

  2. Hi there. I am sailing on the NCL Escape on Nov 30, 2019 with family....5 cabins. My Father who will be turning 88 is joining us. As we are travelling from Toronto my Dad, his friend and I have decided to fly into Miami a few days ahead. I have been trying to pick a hotel to book ahead as I need a couple rooms and it’s Thanksgiving weekend.

So this is my request....can anyone recommend a nice hotel preferably with breakfast near the port of Miami. It doesn’t matter if there is a shuttle or not to the port and from the airport. I would like a spot that we can walk to shops and restaurants. We won’t be going to the beach prior to the cruise but it would be nice if the hotel had a pool and maybe a bar for a cocktail.

    Cheers.... Thanks in advance....

  3. I will be visiting Roatan for the 2nd time. I have already done a zip line/ monkey tour and really just want to go to the beach. I do not need to snorkel. Really just looking for a sandy nice beach where I can get a chair in the shade and some ala carte drinks and food. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

  4. Hello, I could really use some help from all the cruisers familiar with the Fort Lauderdale/ Miami area. I am flying in one day early to the FLL airport (cheaper from Toronto) to sail on the NCL Getaway leaving from the POM. Should I spend the night in Fort Lauderdale using an airport shuttle and then the next day take a Taxi or shuttle to POM to board or should I get a taxi to a Miami hotel from the FLL airport and then the day of cruise just get a short ride to the port from a Miami hotel.

I have stayed at the Embassy suites on 17th in Ft Lauderdale but don’t really have a hotel in mind if I stay overnight in Miami.

I appreciate your thoughts and any hotel recommendations.

  5. I'd show up earlier too or else you'll be waving bye to everyone else on ship. Give ncl a call too

Yeah I think we are just going to arrive as we usually do around midday. Don't think I will bother to call. They will likely just say it is to stagger people's arrivals. Kind of silly really. Has anyone had them refer to these times and ask you to wait at the pier?

  6. We booked our next cruise on the Escape last minute. When I did the on-line check in last week the only boarding time that was given as a choice was 4:30. We always try to get on the ship around noon. I have only sailed on one other NCL cruise and I have never even noticed a boarding time before. I do see the 4:30 time on our edocs. Is this going to be a problem? Thanks.

  7. Here is my question. So we received a free speciality dining for 2 perk from our travel agent. My husband would like to go to Teppanyaki!s and the NCL site does show availability. Do I need to enter my credit card info to reserve this even if it's free? if we decide to change the time or day will we be able to?

    thanks in advance.....

  8. My hubby and I are driving from Toronto area to board the Celebrity Summit to Bermuda next month. We have read some excellent info on park and cruise hotels in the area. Thinking of doing a bit of sightseeing before getting on the ship. We want to leave our car in a safe place for the week.

Options at this point are the Hampton or Hilton on Staten Island or the Ramada Plaza? We are a bit nervous driving around the NY area and want to make this as easy and fun as possible. Not looking for the cheapest deal just a nice safe place.

    All advice would be helpful..

  9. Hi everyone,

Later this month my husband and I are staying a few nights before our RCI cruise at the Embassy Suites. This is our first time at this hotel but not our first time staying in this area.

We have been offered a premium room for an additional $15 dollars a night. This includes internet which is a $10 a day charge regardless. So what else are we getting for this $5.00 a night? It isn't clear.... Are we likely to get a higher floor room regardless at check in?

    Anyone else taken this offer???

    Thanks....
