Does anyone have any feedback about Gregory George on the Valor?

Unfortunately, he isn't very good (just off the Valor yesterday). Gregory mostly spends his time asking everyone where they are from and continues to talk. He does very little piano playing, and he can't sing very well. We stayed for about 30 minutes. In that 30 minutes, he played 3 songs. There were only 6 of us in the piano bar at 9:30, and I understand from other passengers that the piano bar was never very crowded (which goes back to my opinion that Gregory isn't very good).

We've been to Belize twice. 1st time did the mayan ruins which was great, but a very long, hot day. Kind of a been there done that, wouldn't go out of my way to do again. 2nd time DH went scuba diving which he liked but I think he had higher expecations. He said it wasn't the best diving he's every done. I took the tender into port and attempted to walk around but quickly decided that wasn't the safest thing to do and just walked around a little in the inner port area (not the city itself) with my husband when he came back from scuba diving. Got a couple of decent deals on silver jewelry and took the tender back. I think if we went back again we'd try the zoo since we'd have our young son with us and I've heard it's decent.

My DD and I went to the zoo a few years ago. Small, but very interesting, and the people were very nice. Must wear walking/tennis shoes-the paths to the animals are stone.

Carnival stopped the "free" birthday cake a few years ago. You now have to buy one on line or through the Formalities Shop if you want a birthday or anniversary cake after dinner.

We took our then 6 year old DD on her first cruise on American Family Adventure. We all had a great time. Our dinner mates were veteran cruisers, and thought the service was terrible. We thought it was great being newbies. I guess lots of veterans thought the same thing.

My mom and dad took my sister and I on the Bahama Star in August of 1972 when I was 14. We drove from northeastern Ohio clear to Miami!! I remember how small the room was, and the foam rubber on the dining room tables so that the plates and silverware did not fall off the table. My sister and I were the only kids aboard. We went to the movie theatre and saw Pete and Tillie. I also remember the room where there were slot machines. There were no laws then, and my sister (then 12) and I played the slot machines. There was a local teenager who would dive for quarters from the top of the ship. It was our very first cruise, and I got very sea sick. I was fine in Nassau, but once the ship sailed back to Miami, I was sick again. Luckily, I outgrew the sea sickness!
