Will be celebrating our 34th anniversary on the Nieuw Statendam sailing out of Rome on September 27, 2019
. Any others onboard?

There are plenty of postcards at the shops at the pier in Havana. We purchased several during our January 3 cruise. We purchased them on January 9 and they just arrived at their destination in Maryland on February 26.

Additionally, I think I recall that past guests (we are Mariner 2 Star) can have a sit down lunch in the dining room.
Is that still the case?
If so, what are the typical lunch times for that?
On my January 2018 cruise on Veendam, the actual Mariner lunch was on the second day of the cruise.

Just got back on the January 3rd Veendam cruise. We went on a HAL excursion on the first day, but were able to get off the ship and wander on our own the next day, on the morning of departure. By the way, I felt the cost of the excursion which included a meal with drinks was very reasonable. It seemed that once the passports were stamped, there were no problems on moving about freely. We went through Cuban passport control and immigration a second time with absolutely no problems. It was actually very quick, as there were no lines. No problems at all when returning to the ship. What surprised me most of all, was that there were no issues at all when we disembarked in FLL. To me, the whole point of going to Cuba at this time, is to see the island before it becomes overly commercialized. I am very glad I went, and would like to see more of the island.

I am booked on the Veendam January 3 - 10, 2018. Their are only 2 ship tours listed. Both on the first night in Havana. One is the El Canonazo tour that is listed at 2 hours and the other is the Tropicana listed at 4 hours. These are the only ship tours listed on my itinerary. I have been checking the listings regularly since September.

My partner and I are interested in taking a European river cruise. Are there companies that are more welcoming to the LGBT community than others?

One of the advantages of taking all of your meals in the grills dining room is that the staff becomes familiar with all of your needs, likes and dislikes. I like the personalized service you get at every meal. However if your choose not to dine in grills at any point, please let your waiter know in advance.
Enjoy!

I received my cabin number just last week for the September 27 crossing.

Great, hope to meet you. Anybody else out there?

Just to let you know, because the meal and service were exceptional, we left a very generous tip.

I don't know if this subject has ever come up, we had dinner in the Pinnacle Restaurant last week on MS Amsterdam and were wondering if we should leave a tip and how much.

We have booked a Neptune Suite on the Amsterdam for a Alaska sailing out of Seattle. Can anyone tell me about the amenities offered? How is the ship in general?

Anyone crossing from NYC to Southampton September 27. Celebrating 30 years.

Found it. Thank you!

Can someone direct me to a car service from Southampton to St Pancras? Will be on the September 27 crossing and catching the Eurostar on the day of arrival.

Anything in the policy regarding a box wine.

Thank you, the link was very helpful.

Which cruise terminal in Seattle does ms Amsterdam usually depart? I'm looking for the closest hotel.
-
Thank you for your reply. I am curious about hotel accommodations near the dock.

In looking through the Westbound sailings in 2014, I noticed one from Cherbourg in October. I am thinking of spending a few days in Paris then joining QM2 at Cherbourg. Has anyone ever joined the ship at this port? What are the facilities like? I would overnight in Cherbourg the day before. Any hotel suggestions for Cherbourg? QM2 is scheduled to depart Cherbourg on October 7, arriving and departing Southampton on October 8.
