I to love the Sea Day Brunch, but have y'all tried the port day breakfast? I LOVE the avocado toast & the broken egg sandwich... YUMMMMM

The Italian restaurant is free at lunch...
Carnival is celebrating Halloween from the 4th until the 31st...
Order a banana split for dessert in the dining room... (it's not on the menu)

My guess is the Ultra people will have a few more perks, like the cute name sign hanging on your cabin door and have special drawings and spin the wheel just for the ultra guest.
Both will be invited to the welcome aboard party and have free drinks the entire cruise.

I would recommend putting your fan in your carry on. I have been bringing a small fan with me on cruises for the past few years. The one time I put the fan in my luggage that I dropped off at the port, the fan was confiscated (sailing on Liberty). My room steward brought me a fan for that cruise, but still don't understand why they confiscated my fan, which is allowed per their rules as posted in this thread. Since that cruise, I have always carried the fan on the ship myself and have never had another issue.
My sister's fan an extension cord got confiscated from her checked luggage. Since then I have always carried mine on in the carry on bag.

There are no excursions for Panama or the Canal.
They will have a big sale on the Lido deck with items from Panama... Be sure to get there early or you will not get anything... It was CRAZY, but worth the crowd to get some cool Panama keepsakes...

nothing to do at the port. no beaches within walking distance. very industrial port area... stay on the ship

We were given a letter the last evening, explaining where to meet and at what time the morning of Debarkation after the 1st cruise. Met there with the other family of 4 that were doing B2B. Waited for a Ship's officer to escort the group off the ship, through customs and back onto the ship. Received new Sail & Sign cards as soon as we were back on board.
We didn't get any champagne!!!

Yes 15 alcoholic drinks per day, Cheers or Drinks on US while playing in the casino.

In May, we had to fill them out at the terminal in Galveston. But I've read they were done away with in June.

I really only get it for the priority tender boarding and getting off the ship first . My daughter will be on our next cruise will she be able to stay with us when we go to the priority waiting area thanks for any help
You no longer need FTTF
Yes your daughter is allowed to wait with you in the priority waiting area.

I love Carnival because they are the only cruise line that sail from Galveston year round.
Doesn't hurt that I'm Diamond now...
-
I did this 14 day cruise last October, there were 278 Diamonds on board and 1,111 platinum's. They do get the earliest boarding times. So that is probably why you got noon.
But Galveston has moved all boarding times back by an hour. We use to always get 10:00 - 10:30 boarding. Now it is always 11 - 11:30

Yes the coach can be made into a twin bed. But very hard twin bed. My niece joined us on the 10 day back home from San Juan on the Triumph. She never got comfortable, regardless what they tried to do with the coach.
my cousin and I shared a room and they had the beds made into a king. we told the room steward to leave it. so we shared the king bed and enjoyed extra room in the cabin.
so I suggest you and mom share a king.

on the Valor in April, every time you tried to use chat, it would log you at of the Hub App... pain in the b_tt... Wasted my $5

Where is this "mailbox"?
Outside your stateroom by the door
-
The room stewards do an awesome job putting the cabin keys out. Diamond Platinum & FTTF first. Then after all the cabins are cleaned and ready by 1:30, the room stewards put the rest of the cards in the mailboxes.
Another change I noticed. The word Diamond appears on my boarding pass, it was not there when Carnival 1st started using the boarding passes to get on the ship.

Never go anywhere alone, is my number 1 rule, kids & adults...
Everyone has to be at the MDR for dinner at 6:00, no exceptions!
-
yes you can. we were on a B2B In San Juan from 10AM-10PM. Picked up my niece at the airport. Checked her into our suite. Then we all 3 got off and went to the forts and went shopping.
-
it is definitely one of those "once you've tried it" things... Glad I did it once, but that was enough

You choose a good location. Cabins below and over you, noise should not be an issue. Right by the forward elevators for easy access to anywhere you want to go in the ship.

Oh girl, your daughter is going to LOVE it. Camp Carnival keeps the kids so busy, so many activities for each of the age groups. Take her to the Camp Carnival meeting on embarkation day and get her signed up. She will be able to meet the kids on the ship with her. We started cruising with our kids at 8 & 4 years old. They would wake us up to take them to camp. I was happy when my daughter was old enough to sign herself in and out and sign her brother out too. They are 24 & 20 now and still love cruising.

Don't forget decorations for the door.
-
sure, I don't see why not

Leave the wooden door cracked open that covers the minifridge, it will help cool better with the air circulation. When the door is closed all the heat stays in the cabinet
