How much time do you get to spend at each stop?
-
So we are sailing in September of 2024 to celebrate our 25th anniversary ( August of 2024) I want to do something nice like the lei greetings you can buy via viator at the airport. I think that would be a special memory. Anyone who has been before do they do this in port? Thanks in advance

Thank you!

So normally as a Floridian I drive to all ports. However we got the Alaskan cruise offer and booked. I booked back in September but couldn't do my flights on Southwest until January. I purchased transportation thru carnival from Sea tac to pier and back before my flights were bought. We gave them all of our flight info last week.We have an 11:40 am flight the day of debarkation. Hubby read the fine print and it said flights need to be 12 pm or later, I didn't see that when I booked but it's there ...now I'm wondering if that 20 minutes really is going to be a big deal and if I'm going to be in trouble..advice guys?

Hubby and I paired things down since we fly to Colorado first and then to Seattle. I am packing this weekend lol. Can't wait!!!

thanks for the clarification and help!

I did go back and look we do have 200 OBC so we'll use that for gratuity and we have 500 FUNPLAY so that'll be great. The drinks all over the ship does that include the special coffee bar also? I don't know if there's anywhere that's excluded for that. Thanks for all of the help everyone!

I'll be glad to come back and let you know how it went....

Seems like we did pay a deposit so we should get that back..I'll go back and look. That'll cover gratuity.. I thank you for your help everyone, it's been crazy since I had covid and trying to get back on track 18 months later. You all are the best!

It's been a hot minute since we've been cruising due to work schedules/covid and all the life things. After having covid and being hospitalized for 12 days at times I have difficulty recalling things and have to go reeducate myself. So bear with me guys. Hubby and I booked an offer with 500$ funplay credit and free drinks anywhere on the ship. Specifically I feel like I can save that 500 Funplay credit to use toward gratuity, am I correct? Also do the drinks anywhere work like they do in the casino? I get my drink and see it comped in my account with only any gratuity I add showing up as a charge? Also refresh this old lady on what all I can use FUNPLAY for..I think I remember using it on slot machines also...Thanks again guys!

I think we are supposed to be in port the 31st of this month but I heard elsewhere the two cruises ahead of us have already been changed. They too were supposed to be in port in GT.

We haven't cruised in 2 years. Can someone help answer a few questions?
1. I forget if I have a 12 pack of soda do I have to put that in my luggage or carry it on? After 3 hernia surgies I'd prefer to put it in luggage.
2. How does the new emuster work?
3. Anything else I need to know?
Thanks in advance guys!!

When I purchased mine it told me they were good until February 2022. It does tell you. I ordered from the Optum Store

Am wondering what you used to take the BINAX NOW proctored tests...I thought maybe my smartphone but someone said if your screen times out then your test isn't valid. How did you do yours? Thanks in advance!

that stinks ....just not a fan of St Thomas

I was looking through excursions for our 12/26 cruise on the Magic and the one place I really wanted to go to was St. Kitts. I was super excited about it. Then I see St. Thomas on our itinerary..I was like what?? Now St. Thomas has replaced St. Kitts...anyone have a clue as to why?

Ok so reading the information below and recognizing that we cruise December 26th we'd have to be tested December 24th correct? Can I go to a local walkin clinic that has a lab and does antigen testing? We had a thought of trying the Health Department. Can't find a Quest, CVS or Walgreens that does antigen. Now i find out Binax now has some kits missing the testing liquid.
What kind of proof of testing will Carnival accept?
Acceptable proof of PCR/antigen COVID-19 testing includes laboratory test record, digital certificate and healthcare record.
The results must show first and last name, date of birth, type of test (NAAT or antigen), date and time the sample was taken, test result as either “NEGATIVE” or “NOT DETECTED,” laboratory/testing site or healthcare provider details.
If there is doubt as to the authenticity or validity of the test, and the testing facility or healthcare provider is not able to be contacted for verification purposes, embarkation may be denied.

I had Covid in the Middle of August , was hospitalized 12 days and released August 25th.. My boss asked me to return to work doing light duty such as answering phones in the middle of September. My doctor advised me to get a test to see if I was negative before returning to work. I tested NEGATIVE . I was still on oxygen and September 28 I returned to teaching. Kiddos in my class have been out sick. Tuesday my doctor diagnosed me with bronchitis but knowing my history did a covid rapid test and a flu test both of which were negative. Our cruise isn't until December 26th. right now I'm having issues with finding tests. I'm not confident of the proctored tests online because I am NOT super tech saavy!

Car rentals at port
in Hawaii
Posted
We rented ours through Discount Hawaii Car Rental and when we did we had the option to purchase Collision Damage protection which was around 15 bucks and supplemental liability for 16 bucks ...Rentalcover.com was the company they used. We've not cruised yet but knew if we wanted a convertible we'd best get it reserved. It was about 100 bucks a day plus the insurance. We just needed day rentals.
