  1. When I was on the Jewel in March we ate breakfast almost every Morning in the Blue Lagoon, it was a nice change of pace from the buffet. I liked it better.

    In the Afternoon they added Potato Skins & Mozzerella sticks to the Menu which were delicious...but during dinner they were not on the menu.

  2. Yeah, I'm not quite sure why everyone is all so excited about the White Hot Party (admittedly, I've never been to that one, but I've been to parties on NCL ships). Best I can tell, it's just a dance party and they sell drinks.

    I've managed to go to Monte Carlo, White Hot, Carnival Espectacular (spelling lol) and it's all the same really....it's nice but I don't usually drink alot so I just watch the dancing listen to music...it's pretty much dancing and selling drinks, you're right.

  3. The short answer is yes you likely can use US currency.

    US currency is widely accepted in Vancouver as a courtesy to our American cousins however you will not get the full amount of your exchange which right now is in the range of 17 cents on a dollar. You will also likely get your change in CDN currency so use some smaller denominations.

    Thank you very much!

  4. This probaly has been answered but there's almost 1000 post...thats more than my eyes can handle going through, so I do apologize if this is a repeat.;)

    If we dine out on the town in Vancouver somewhere simple most likely fast food by pender street....will they accept United States Dollars? Or do we HAVE to change to Canadian money before we spend? Will only be there one night.

  5. Judy;

    You are very close to Yaletown which is just full of trendy restaurants some of which have a tendency to come & go (what’s new in the restaurant business). I am about 4 yrs out of date with the restaurants in Yaletown because I am now retired but here are some links and some of the one that I recognize and have been to over the years are:

    Rosie’s on Robson

    Yaletown Brewing

    Kettle of Fish

    La Terrazza

    You certainly won’t go hungry in Yaletown!

    GREAT link, thank you!!

  6. Hotels allocate X amount of rooms to Priceline at X price. If a Marriott has a $55 dollar Priceline rate and Hilton a $60 rate, the computer is going to assign you to the Marriott if you bid $57. Priceline's 'name your own price' bid system is non-refundable. When you place your bid, you check off a box indicating you agree to their terms & conditions which means 1) non-refundable and 2) You'll accept any hotel within the star level and zone you placed your bid.

    Ah I see, thank you for your help.
