We had the best time when we stopped at the port of marseille. We took a private tour with Simon of Simon says Provence touts (he has a Facebook page) We had the best day with Simon! It was so easy to find him as we came off our cruise ship. He took us around beautiful areas of Provence. Aix en Provence had some great shopping and we ate some delicious croissants and pastries. He then took us to the beautiful town of Cassis where we toured around and had a magnificent lunch and Cassis wine. We went up to the Caps Canaille that had a gorgeous view. We stopped at the Notre Dame de la Gare Basilica, and showed us interesting parts of Marseilles.
Simon is smart, funny and a pleasure to be with.
Simon is good was great with both my dad and my kids.
I was so impressed with this area and could totally see coming back and spending more time here.
You will be happy with Simon!
nice comfortable van too
there were 7 of us

Its very nice. A bit older. Both rooms we had were great! Pool was nice. Food was good (although pricey...typical for the area).

our room was right on the beach and the view was fantastic! We had a bedroom, very large living room, and huge balcony.... The pullout couch was very cool for our teenagers (it made into two twins)... Hotel is a little old, but classic....we did have an easy walk on the beach down to the Marriott for dinner...the Marriott is fantastic too, but the room there is just a room...Marriott has a more modern feel...we will probably stay at the baha mar again due to the extra space...we can get 1 room at the baha mar, where we would get two rooms at the Marriott

It might be included, but in the past it would never connect using global data while at sea... In ports or close to ports it was great ... You can also turn on and off the international roaming when not in use

warning...global data on verizon does not work often while at sea

Hi there,
I am curious what is the nicest hotel for pre-cruise for the Quantum of the Seas, December 27th.
We are considering the Renaissance at the Newark Airport.
Thank you!

We were on 12/23/13 and it was fine...you could feel the ship moving, but it was great
My friend who was with us tends to get sick and she was fine
We loved the legend!
Great ship
Great crew

We were going to go to umbrellas, but when we got off the water taxi we started walking a little way and we stopped because it looked like a good place and we only had about 2 hours to enjoy... So we just went a little bit down the beach and it was good.
Perfect for just a couple of hours.
It's much more rustic than orient beach... But the water and sand were beautiful.
The water taxi workers and boats are a bit rough too

We like to get the very last boardwalk balcony rooms....love seeing the aqua theatre! Love seeing the ocean! People across can see you so it's not like having an ocean view were it doesn't matter if you have the curtain open or not...also love that the balcony divider doors can be opened if you are traveling with friends or family next to you.
It can be noisy so if you want quiet I would not suggest it

The flying fish were pretty cool too...we saw quite a lot on our trip over to Klein.....we ate flying fish on catamaran trip in Barbados and they were tasty
-
It was $20 for a bucket of beer (6)...but they were only 7 or 8 oz beers
$7 for margarita and it was good
$5 for virgin strawberry daiquiri
Beef nachos $12
Calamari $7
Meatballs $7

How funny...we were on woodwind too with you... We sat in front just to the left of you :)
The stings were not bad.... I suggest for anyone going you wear either the wet suit they have, or a Lycra suit...my kids wore those, but I still just went in my bathing suit and it was fine.
The stings are from very tiny bits of jelly fish not big jelly fish.
Only a few spots had them...dee said they don't always have them...it was less than getting snapped by a rubber band
The sea life was amazing in Bonaire!!!!

Woodwind was amazing!
The amount of fish we saw was incredible!!!!!!
Don't miss the snorkeling here...we went snorkeling at a few other islands on our cruise, but nothing compared.
First class crew on the boat!
Drinks and snacks were real nice too.
-
Meant to say food was good
-
Prices were a little high, but service, drinks, and good was good
Beach was pretty quiet
-
We took a cab....it would b a pretty long walk...we were taken advantage of on the way there...we were charged $5 pp total of $30... On the way back it was only $12
We enjoyed the place.
We could not get the wifi to work.

Ken as a puppet was hysterical!!!!! That was the funniest thing ever!!!!
Those gauchos were awesome too!
-
It was not open for us on embarkation day :(
Didn't see the cake, but I did not really look for it

We paid $3500 pp for a balcony this past Christmas and New Years for an 11 night on the legend....many times prices were higher....I only saw one price drop to around $2700 but it only lasted a day and it was after final payment.... We did get $150 obc from rccl for booking on board, and $200 credit from our travel agent and for the balcony room we had our diamond plus discount, 2free specialty restaurant and pre paid gratuity...so it was nice to gave lots of on board credit
My kids had an interior for around $2000 pp... I think looking back I would have been happy in the interior and saved the $3,000 :)

There were some good movies on the tv in the stateroom....I did watch the Steve jobs movie as well as a movie titled he's not that into you.
My kids seemed to have movies and tv that entertained them during their times they just wanted to chill in the room.
There were movies at the pool too, but we did not do that.
As far as the Ivan comment.....I think that lots of people are not nice to him, so being nice helps you get what you need, or at least sort of close....we had to be a little flexible, but everything worked out good.

I took our bottles wine to dinner and I always gave a tip to the bartender who opened the bottle

We got off the legend on jan 3rd... We were nervous about going on such a small ship and so many reviews I read were bad...we LOVED our cruise..two negatives were the shower curtain and the teen program (my kids said the teen program was way better on allure...the kids ended up doing most of what we did and they played a lot of putt-putt...they still had a fantastic time)
We have only done allure and oasis the last few years, but we were pleasantly surprised with the legend...so easy to find others on the ship...staff was very friendly...say hi to marina in park cafe (she is also the best waitress in chops)... Best chef table ever with chef rudi....loved our mtd waiter maher table 185... Vend the mtd bartender was great!
Be nice to Ivan (the host of mtd) and he will take care of you.
Also enjoyed Izumi very much!... My kids had so much fun doing the hot rock!
Ventriloquist and comedian were great!
Aerial show was awesome (sort of a mini version of blue planet)
Enjoy!
Transferring away from a travel agent?
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
They are awful! Impossible to get answers
There is an email address that you can send to someone at royal for them to take the booking back…only problem is that transfer back to royal will take at least 7 days
royal should cancel this agent
royal has been unwilling to make this agent accountable
SO FRUSTRATING!
