Here's a bit of advice for choosing an aft cabin - there will most likely be 3 decks with aft cabins - be sure to book one on te deck in the middle. If you choose the lowest of the three, you'll be over the clubs and may get noise from below and if you choose the highest of the three you'll be below the pool deck so you can expect to hear the crew dragging chairs around each morning. On the subject of chairs, be sure to ask your steward as soon as you first see him to get you a lounge chair for your balcony!!

THANKS - I've been wondering if I'd need to bring a beach bag big enough to hold towels or if I could just bring a small bag for S&S card and cash. This FINALLY answers my question, I'll bring the bigger bag.

Just thought of another question, sorry!! Is the MDR closed for breakfast and lunch on Carnival ships at this port of call or is it open since the only other option is the BBQ lunch on the island?

Can ANYONE please tell me if there's a towel stand on the island where we can check beach towels out and back in like there is on the Lido deck or do we need to take them off the ship with us??

:D You are as thorough as I am... We are on A1A where it makes a sharp right turn by the airport. The coordinates are: 30∘ 22' 53.60" North and 81∘ 26' 19.10" West. If you type it in on Google Earth, you should be able to find the beach. Have fun searching :)
AWESOME - found it!!! We'll see you next Saturday around 5:30 pm or so!! Thanks again for doing this!

Thanks, APDMom, I just looked up a map on mapquest and I see where you're talking about, just before we leave the river and hit ocean, right? Are you nearer to the Ferry Terminal or the Mayport Tavern or are you down near the park? Just curious, I'm trying to pin it down as close as possible! And the time will be awesome, we can do sail away up on the lido and then come down to our cabin in plenty of time! Thanks again - we're so ready for this cruise!!

Luv 2 Float & Cheerose, I have you down on the calendar with a note to zoom in on the aft balconies :)
Happy sailing!
Hate to be a pest, but I also don't want to have to stand on my balcony waving like an idiot for an hour or so!! Can you give me an idea of where you'll be shooting your pix from and maybe a landmark so we can tell when we should be on the balcony and something we will see that we'll know we can safely say "ok, we're away from the cameras - we can move about the cabin now!"

we have one of the aft cabins dead-center of the ship (just above the SC in Fascination).
Sweet - ours is the one 2 decks above the L in Carnival!

I have you down on my calendar. :) Enjoy planning!
Hey - any chance of adding August 21, 2010 to your calendar as well? We'll be on an aft balcony on Empress Deck (the higher of 2 decks with aft balconies)Thanks!

Here's a question I haven't seen asked yet - is there parasailing at any of these resorts and, if so, any idea how much it goes for (single and tandom)? Thanks in advance (I'm leaning towards either the Sheraton or Junkanoo Beach).
Rainforest or Bacardi factory?

One word of advice for people renting a car and driving to El Yunque, they will offer you the e-pass for the turnpike. If you take 26 to 3 towards Fajardo, you'll need to have the pass as there are no manned toll booths - only the ones with the sensors that read the e-pass.
Also, concerning Isla Verdi, you would actually be no closer as you'd need to backtrack to almost condado to get on 26 unless you plan to take the back roads or are staying right up close to the airport.
