We walked to the Margaritaville right near the port. Rented a couple of lounge chairs, could swim and have food and drinks brought right to you. A relaxing day!

Another vote for LED candles as nightlights. Hair conditioner if you aren't in a suite.

Ooh-ooh, the stuffed gorilla, was named by my son when he was about a year old. He was a late talker but was able to make animal sounds like the best of them! Whenever he wanted his monkey, he would point at it and make the sound for monkey. Hence, ooh-ooh got his name.
We had a party tonight, complete with ice cream and cake, to celebrate his homecoming. I know it's such a trivial thing to some but it makes life more fun to just take 15 minutes and be a kid again! Even big sister (who thinks she knows all at the ripe old age of 11) got into the spirit!

Wow $17 for a dark and stormy! That's crazy
But thank you for posting, now I'm thirsty. LOL
That is the one that really bugs me!

To get the shore excursion credit, you must book and take an NCL shore excursion. Popular excursions will sell out.
To book in advance, call 1-866-625-1167 and reserve your excursion. You will NOT have to pay for the excursion in advance. Once on board, your room account will be charged for the excursions. After you complete the excursions, a $50 per port per cabin credit will be placed on your on board account.
Thanks for the info! I actually did not know that! I just called an booked an excursion. That was super easy!

Oh, no! In what timeframe? We thought the food and menus on Star in June 2015 were good, and were very disappointed in the food on Epic in January 2016, which we attributed to the insane size of the ship and number of people they had to feed.
I hope it hasn't declined further. We sailed on HAL last summer and were very pleased with the food, but NCL had the itinerary we want this summer and it's better value for money, so we're back to NCL.
October last year. The preparation was fine, but you could see the reduction in quality as the OP shared.

Unfortunately, cruises right after drydock often experience problems, so perhaps this accounts for some of the pain you felt on this cruise.
Otherwise I have to agree that food has gone downhill as their cutbacks become more and more obvious. A cycle I have witnessed many times!

Definitely 16. I could peek out of my cabin and see who was hanging out in the lounge or by the pool.

Rony's Tours. We did a snorkel and kayak excursion on the west end. It was great and included lunch.

Or you can add the tip to your on board account. That works nicely as well.

Room service beverages are not included. Neither are bottles of water, specialty coffees, or cans of soda.
All alcoholic drinks up to $15 are included regardless of which bar or restaurant they are at. If you order something more than $15, you are charged the difference.

On our upcoming cruise we get 5 specialty restaurants and I haven't ever used those restaurants. I'm wondering can you order 2 appetizers if you want them.
Yes, you may order more than one appetizer. [emoji4]

No changes the entire cruise. Very disappointing really. It would be nice if they would at least offer a special at lunch or dinner.

Love the Jewel class ships. Cracks me up that they are now considered small! No, the Pearl does not have Howl at the Moon, but they will have entertainment scattered throughout the ship in addition to the main shows. No Vibe but you can plenty of outdoor spaces to tuck yourself away in.
She is a nice ship, with a nice layout. I am sure she will be even nicer after the refurbishment.

Having just come back from a week on St. John, I highly recommend making your way to this wonderful island as you say you have the time!

To get the 10% discount on shore excursions do not book them prior to boarding. I made that mistake this past Sunday and promptly called the Shore Excursion desk when I saw that my credit card was showing the regular price. They cancelled the charge to my credit card and then rebooked the excursions with payment to be made at the end of the sailing. Lesson learned!:D
MARAPRINCE
Interesting. I booked a shore excursion on Sunday and the system did give me the discount! I was pleasantly surprised! :)

Thank you for taking the time to share your photos!
Definitely looking forward to a picture of "The Pit Stop"...I haven't been able to find one anywhere!

Depending on your cruise in the Med, onboard purchases may be subject to VAT. That was a big difference!

If an American wanted to get the UK deal, how would NCL stop them? I'm British myself, and when the US offering is more attractive I book through the American site, or call the Miami office. When the UK one is more attractive I book through the European offices.
Exactly. I have booked through the UK. I just had to pay in £'s.

Traveling with another couple, we also couldn't link. Even with a phone call. We just made reservations for the same time then had them linked once on board.

Yes, added during the last drydock and hated by many. At every single Q&A during our 14-day cruise, a complaint about the art in the Venetian was always the first comment to the hotel director!

Yes. Tea, lemonade, and flavored waters are complimentary as well as coffee, milk, water.

I booked my upcoming cruise 22 months out. I pre-paid my DSC at the grandfathered rate this month.
I recall the confusion when the email went out (it was how it was worded). I had a friend who paid the DSC on all of his upcoming cruises and was upset when he realized he just had to do so prior to sailing.
I am confident that your rate is legit.
