  1. Does anyone know how much a taxi is to get there? There will be 4 of us and how much to get in and what it includes? I was there years ago and seem to remember it including a couple drinks and the water trampoline etc.

    Thanks.

  2. Hi, I'm platinum and booked a 2 bedroom suite on the Gem. I booked in June and the Latitudes reward was listed $150 OBC. The sailing is in Dec. I just made final payment and received an amenities confirmation. It lists all 4 "perks" since we are in a suite and OBC from our TA but does NOT show the OBC we are supposed to have from NCL. Has anyone had experience with this? I emailed my TA but haven't received a response. I don't see any latitude contact info on the website. I don't want a hassle but I don't want to get on the ship and have it not show up either.........

  3. Is there a set taxi price from the cruise port to Saphire beach for 4 people or do we have to be careful and negotiate? Any help appreciated!

This is alittle late........ We leave tomorrow. We will be on the NCL Gem and have decided to head to Saphire Beach. We love to snorkel and thanks to the wonderful info on this board our decision was easy.

  4. I don't know what happened to the OP but I sure am thankful for this thread. On cruises, my ankles start to swell and a couple times, it's been bad! Worse on RCCL. I started bringing a case of water onboard and that has helped some. I hardly cook with salt at home. I'm going to ask for low salt on our upcoming cruise. Thanks for the info everyone!

  5. Don't know what was included but as I recall they had kayaks, pedal boats and this crazy bubble you try to walk on the water from inside as it spins (they hold a tether so you can't float away).

    Sounds great, thanks!

  6. Thanks for the review Cruise Pup! Do you know what non motorized sport equipment is included? I have been researching and we are planning to try the Melia in two weeks. Traveling with three teens, 1 that will be quite content to lie on the beach with me but 2 that like to be active. Any info you can provide is appreciated!

  7. My ankles and feet swell also. So much so that a couple cruises I could only wear flip flops. I don't drink alcohol & agree, it's the food and water. Last cruise it wasn't as bad & I had brought water on board. For my next cruise, I requested a low sodium diet. I'll see what happens. Just wondering: does anyone have a thyroid problem? I never had this problem until I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism,

  8. Do you have to carry it on or can you tag it and have it brought to your cabin with your luggage....seems it might be a heavy load walking around the ship with it at embarkation?

You can put it in your luggage or make duct tape handles directly on the soda or water packaging. We have done this many times and never had a problem. Be sure to wrap duct tape around packaging to make it mor sturdy and add a luggage tag. It will be delivered with your other luggage.
