We are cruising over Easter break with kids. I've been noticing on my FB pages for that cruise that there are A LOT of kids cruising. Is there a max. capacity for Camp Carnival? If so, how does that work? How do they decide who goes and who doesn't get to attend?

FYI: I tried to use my Diamond upgrade and was told it can not be combined with a free room from the casino.

So just providing an update: My best friend and family were there last week (11 of them). They showed up at PB and were told they could not do the ala carte option. They had to pay for the AI plus the fun pass for the kids.

Years ago Paradise Beach was a la cart or all inclusive. Is it still the case? I can't seem to find a la cart info...
I had the same question. We've been to PB over a dozen times and have done both AI and ala carte. I've read a few recent reviews from March that said that they were told they had to buy the AI option. There is no way I am paying $41 each for my 6 year old and 8 year old. That price doesn't include the water toys either. I think the better option would be Playa Mia which is a shame because we love PB!

Which beach is this? Public as discussed above or a different one? TIA!
This is the beach the locals refer to as "Public Beach". It's located where the old Calico Jacks used to be.

Hi. We cruise frequently and always fly into FLL when we cruise out of Miami. This time however, we will have 3 kids (6,8,and 14) with us. I am thinking about taking the tri-rail. We are staying at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Brickell (100 SE 4th Street, Miami). My question is our flight is scheduled to land at 2:05pm. Would we have time to get luggage, take bus to train station, and buy tickets for a 3:03pm train? Also, where do you put the luggage? Would we get off at Hialeah Market or MIA? I looked and the Uber XL prices are double the price if we go to MIA. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've been to Grand Cayman a bunch of times and usually take the public bus (van) to get around. It's $2.50pp. You can pick it up right across the street from the port and about a 2 blocks in. Any local will point you in the right direction. They drop you off right at the park. The water is crystal clear and the sand is soft (no rocks in water). There are several vendors selling chairs and umbrellas. You can bargain with them. They started with $30 for us and I said no and kept walking. He followed me and we ended up getting him down to $20 for 2 chairs and an umbrella. We did not buy any food from the locals. The bathrooms were clean. When you're ready to go the bus stop is right across the road. You can't miss it. Buses run continuously all day. Again $2.50 for ride back to port.

Hi has anyone that has done this excursion recently tell me if there are lockers for rent to store your stuff? I've seen only one person say that there are now lockers so I'm looking for further confirmation. Thanks!

We did the pasta making class on the Mardi Gras and the Tailgating class on the Celebration. Absolutely loved them both. The classes were about 2 hours including the time they give you to eat your creations. We made pretzel bites, spicy chicken bites and empanadas for tailgating. Everything was delicious!

Truly yes and the Carnival brand (thirsty frog I think) are okay .... they taste a little "floral" to me to try to describe it. Sort of like drinking potpourri.
I do drink them from time to time in between old fashioneds but I usually get the Truly ones.
That was the perfect way to explain the Carnival brand seltzers. I tried them in December and didn't like them at all! I'll stick with the Truly!

We cruise about 4x a year and bring on 12-packs every cruise. Haven't had any port security check our 12 packs in many years nor have I seen them break anyone else's open.

Do they have Kid's Club that first night? I thought there was only Night Owls that first night...which is something you have to pay for. I think the older groups have a meeting the first night, but not sure about the group that 9 year olds will be in.
My boys (now ages 8 and 10) really enjoy the Kid's Club. The very first time they ever went was when they were pretty young and a child with behavioral issues was in the club and started throwing chairs and my younger child was so traumatized that he didn't want to go back. (Also, Covid hit right after their first cruise so for two years his main memory of the cruise was this incident with the kid.) However, they HAD to go during our Europe cruise because a couple of the days I booked adults only excursions I knew they wouldn't want to go to. (The excursion was to places they would not care about, almost completely historical-based, and required a very long bus ride). This time, they LOVED the Kid's Club and wanted to go every day!!! It also helps that they are older now. My youngest was only about 4 the first time he went and this time they were 7 and 9.
They also went during an Alaskan cruise, but there were not hardly any other kids on that cruise so they didn't enjoy it as much. However, I think that was an exception (i.e. not hardly any other kids) because we actually went on the Alaskan cruise shortly before MOST schools got out so I think most kids were still in school. My kids go to a private school and their schedule is slightly different.
The only tip I would give is that it can get a little busy right at first drop off times so if you are going to drop them off right when it first opens, plan accordingly if you have to be somewhere.
My kids always really like the video game and free play times and are annoyed by the art times. So, on sea days, we sort of "pick and choose" the hours they go. They have the schedule on the Hub App so you can look and see what is going on when.
Also, I think 9 year olds can sign themselves out so if you don't want them to be able to do this, be sure to pick that option. I did not want my 9 year old being able to sign himself out. He wouldn't cause any trouble or fall of the ship, but I also know he would never find his way back to the room and would just be wandering around the ship, probably crying.
Can you explain how the Club Ocean works for dinner times? We want to book the earliest Teppenyaki seating but it looks like the club is closed between 5-7pm. But then I also read that they do kids dining in the buffet and its available every day. Do you know if they go with the club to dinner will they take them back to the club after. I'm really confused about this!

Does the Drinks on Us everywhere on the ship also include non-alcoholic drinks, coffees, and milkshakes like the Cheers program does?

For some strange reason, TikTok needs a ton of data. I can easily play YouTube videos but have TikTok lag and buffer.
At the very least you'll need the premium, but even then it may lag and drag
Which internet package did you buy for youtube? My grandson has Autism and loves to watch youtube videos so I'm wondering which package to buy.

Hello. My cousin is a US citizen but lives in Quebec. She renewed her passport but it has not come in yet and we leave Saturday. Does anyone know if she can cruise (not fly) with just a US birth certificate and Canadian driver's license?

I had DOU everywhere through casino on a few cruises and never had a problem. Got my first drink at Atrium or casino bar as soon as I boarded.
I've never e-mailed for confirmation.
I was wondering how this worked. I have the DOU everwhere for an upcoming cruise. So I don't have to go anywhere to have it activated or added to my S&S?

Getting to the Episcopal church can be a little time-consuming from the Hard Rock.
The church is on the north side of the river. The best route fro the Hard Rock is probably up 95 to Broward Boulevard, east to SE 15th Avenue,, and turn right and cross Las Olas.
On the south side of the river, a good target is Smokers park, above the New River tunnel.
Thank you!

So we are staying at the Hard Rock and plan to uber somewhere to watch the parade. Would All Saints Episcopal be the easiest to get to or do you have another recommendation?

We had this offer for Hawaii next November. Total for two was $574. My sister had the same offer so she is going as well!

I've been to both Radio Beach and Resort World Beach. We rented a golf cart. It was very easy to do both as the island is very small. Radio Beach was much prettier....like postcard perfect! We did see lots of jellyfish but they don't sting. I actually held them in my hands. They are called moon jellyfish. We went to Resort World parked our golf cart and walked down to the beach without paying. The Resort World beach was packed. Like hundreds more people than at Radio Beach. You can see the ship from both beaches.

You can see the pool but they are not close to the pool at all. It is a very long uphill walk to get to these cabanas. I would recommend the over the water and poolside before a hilltop cabana.

OMG thanks to whomever posted this thread! I have all these casino offers but it never occurred to me to look for Hawaii. I did and scored a 15 day Hawaii cruise in an inside cabin for $657 total with $200 OBC and $250 in Funplay. I'm so super excited!
