Sure they have the right, but it is not my idea of a relaxing vacation. So I admittedly pay more to avoid it on all inclusive cruise lines. So nice not to be taking out my card and signing a chit every 20 minutes

Our last cruises have been on Silversea, Seabourn, and we finally tried Windstar. Honestly they all have different strong points, but really enjoyed our Windstar experience. Great food, great service would not hesitate to book Windstar again.

I am happy to hear about the BBQs. 1 BBQ is good, 2 is even better.

It is walkable, but is a bit of a walk. Would not recommend with luggage. Pretty sure you could buy your tickets in advance from the machines on a previous day, but there were a lot of machines and I do not remember having a long if any at all wait.

All inclusive all the way, I hate the nickel and dimeing. I don’t mind paying more so I do not have to take out my ship card to buy a bottle of water.

On Silversea I had our butler pack us a picnic with sandwiches and I think I took a bottle of wine out of our cabin fridge

See Paris after your cruise. We did the British isle cruise a few years back and loved it. Car rental place right at the port in Le Havre. Drove to the D-day beaches and stopped at Honfleur one the way back, amazing day. Paris is way too big with too much to see in just a few hours, but that is just my opinion.

1: Packing the last night to put the luggage outside, although doing it before dinner has made it better
2: Nickel and diming of some of the cruise lines. Eg. could not believe the ultimate beverage package on NCL did not include bottled water.
3: Deck chair hogs

We have been sailing the upscale lines lately like Seabourn and Windstar which have no photographers. I can’t say I miss them

I am jealous I love Lisbon, easy city to visit was there December 2016. You can just walk around the old part. One thing we did and were very happy we did was visit the carriage museum very special. A bit different from the things we would usually have done.

I am from Montreal about two hours down the road, there is probably fewer safer places in the world. I am exaggerating, not by much though, but you could do that walk with $20 bills hanging out of your pockets and not worry. You will love old Quebec very beautiful.

We rented a car on June 6 D Day, the car rental location was right at the port. we reserved it prior to leaving on the cruise. Reserved a GPS for navigation. Beautiful drive through the French country side. Had time to go to Juneau and Omaha Beach as well as stop in Honfleur for a coffee on a terrasse. Back before 5PM. Somewhere around 150 Euros for everything. Even on D-Day getting parking at the beaches was easy. I am a Canadian and as hard as it is to say I think if I had to choose one Omaha beach is a must to see.

Food is such personal choice, but we found the portions WAY TOO BIG at Tuscan and the food was good but to us not amazing. If you like BIG portions Tuscan is the restaurant.
