Heymondo, (which is a Spanish company), btw, ONLY covers Canadians to a maximum of $100,00 for Travel Medical Coverage! Caveat Emptor!
I have purchased Medical Travel Insurance from 'Blue Cross', (which includes Covid-19 coverage)), at a very good premium price, in my view!
Yes I noticed that they are base in Madrid Spain, but their plan is with AXA witch is a well known company. I'm not here to promote them in any way since I don't know them and never used them. However we have contacted Manulife, Blue Cross, CAA and despite the fact that their website seams to indicate that they cover for those fees, every time we spoke to a representative, they said it was not covered because of the level 4 travel advisory. I am kind of desperate ! Of course we would prefer to by insurance from one of them....
Where did you read that Heymondo will only cover 100$ for Travel medical coverage ? I'm interested to know since I don't see that on their web site. We are hesitant to go with them, but it is the only insurance company that confirmed in writing (emails) that they would cover us despite the level 4 advisory in place in Canada for cruises.
Thank you !

We are in the same situation. Want to cruise with Princess in December. We have contacted several insurance company that do not cover quarantine if we test positive at disembarkation.
Last week we had a few exchanges with a Heymondo representative. They told us that they cover quarantine even if it is after a cruise and despite the fact that Canada has a level 4 travel advisory for cruises. We have never used this company but are considering doing it. They have pretty good reviews but we are a little aprehensive since we don’t know them….
You can always contact them and judge for yourself. Hope it helps !

I guess it must depend on when & where you go… we got the 3rd shot and the only question we were asked was what vaccines we had so they can make sure we got what we needed.
not that it matters but we got the 3rd shot around 3 weeks ago in Vaudreuil and our cruise is in October.
I’d go & try again and get it done as they could change their mind…
Thank you for the information. I guess they do things differently depending on the area…We went twice and got the same information twice ! We canceled our december cruise before final payment. We might book it again but last minut when we know for sure that we can make it. With the testing requirements, the Delta variant, things are pretty incertain these days… Have a great cruise! -
We live in Quebec and received AZ and Moderna. Last week we tried to get a second dose of moderna (we have a cruise booked for december). We were told we could not receive the third shot since our trip was too far away. They said that they are doing it for trips coming soon (august, september). They told us that the governement is working to get the mixed vaccined accepted and that things could change ….. and to come back in october if the situation is the same…. I sure hope things work out and our mixed vaccines are accepted….

It was on 2nd day which for us was a sea day and also on grand cayman day
Thank you very much for the reply. It’s good to know that Cozumel night menu is less interesting. We might book a specialty restaurant for that night.
Just to make sure I understand correctly (my English is not 100 % 😊)… our itinerary is:
1st night: FLL
2nd night: HMC
3rd night: At sea
4th night: Ocho Rios
5th night: Grand Cayman
6th night: Cozumel
7th night: At sea
Did you do the same itinerary? If so, the first formal night was on HMC day or at sea day ?
Thank you again !

Hi ! Nice to know you enjoyed your cruise on the NS. We will do the western itinary as well in April. Can you tell me on what night were the formal nights ? We want to book speciality restaurants but do not want to miss any formal nights ! Thank you !

Thank you very much for your review and nice pictures ! It makes me looks forward to our cruise on the Koningsdam on February 18 ! We are planning to try Sel de Mer. Nice to know the food was good !

I just booked an Airbnb for 6 peoples for our cruise next september. We paid 1086$ CND. It looks very nice, modern and convenient (it is a 3 minutes walk to Piazzale Roma). I think an appartment is a good way to go for 6 peoples and cheeper than hotels....

Our september 1st 2018 cruise is back ! I Had our TA call Royal last week and they said it was not cancelled. I did not beleive it, but may be it is true......
-
Wow ... We are booked on that september 1 cruise !! Very deceived to learn about this dry dock. Haven't heard from Royal yet. Do they offer something when they cancel a cruise ? We booked with the refundable deposit but our friends booked with the non refundable one. I hope they can have their money back! We might want to check NCL Star leaving on september 2...

Thank you so much for the information. We are planning to do the excursion via NCL (ferry, taxi) so I think we will be fine ! We will be booking the excursion, thanks to the replies received to my question !

Hi,
I will be going to Tortola next April and can’t seem to find out if one need to be able to swim to do the Bath. There are a few people on our group that can’t swim. Is The Bath an excursion they can do ?
Thank you !

Sure, figure $20 per couple one way. It'll probably be a little less than that but you should budget on the high side.
You can arrange with your taxi driver to pick you back up after the tour or if you have enough people you can get them to wait for you. If all else fails Cruzan will call a taxi for you or you can just wait for the next group to be dropped off and snag the return ride.
Hi, we also plan to do Cruzan and Sandcastle. We will be 6 doing this. Will we pay 60$ to go to Cruzan ? Or will it be 20$ for the 6 of us ? Thank you !

Thank. you very much for your review ! I have been following it every day! We booked allegrissimo "because" of you. Can't wait to be on the ship !
-
Ok, so, on the topic of drinking, as had the Allegrissimo package.
We did tip certain staff additional, for good service
But, on a whole, the package is worth it.
Thank you for your review. We are going on the Splendida in September and it’s nice to see your pictures. We are considering buying the Allegrissimo package and have a few questions about it.
1. Are gratuities included in the price you pay on line (161 Euros / pax) or do we have to add it ?
2. I understand that the package includes choice of draft beers. What were the kind of beers available ?
3. How was the red wine ?
4. At dinner, do they bring wine by the glass or the bottle (I see you have pictures of bottles… is it the wine included in the Allegrissimo ?)
Thank you very much !

Thanks. We are trying to figure out when to book speciality restaurant if we book the cruise...... So You were on the 4 nighter and formal night was Nassau?
-
Hi,
Welcome back !
We are thinking about booking the 4 days cruise on the Constellation. Were you on the 4 days cruise ? If so, when was the formal night ?
I think you have to go through custom in Key West. Was it the case for you ? If so, do you have to go through custom again at disembarkation in FLL ?
Thank you :D
We can't find any companies that sells Covid quarantine insurance for Canadian cruisers
in Canadian Cruisers
