  1. We were on the Infinity last year. It was the first cruise out after it was refurbed. I would no go on this class of ship again. The S class ships are wonderful. We cruise alot on RCCL but has done a few with Celebrity since we are Diamond and we get perks of Elite. The only thing I don't like is their Happy Hour is 5 to 7. We also like a late dinner so we have to find something to do between 7 and 8:30. Again, this wouild not stop me from going on an S Class ship.

  2. We also used PK tours in Greece. In Rome we used both Driverinrome.com and also Shareanexcurisioninrome.com. They are both owned by the same person. Both were great. I woiuld never do a Ship Excursion. We don't like more than 8 people in a car or Van. The ship excursion are very expensive, have many people on a bus. The ship excursion is only as fast as the slowest person. We've been to Europe 6 times and never had a problem with private tours or getting back to the ship on time.

  3. We were on the Anthem in May. Someone from our thread organized a cabin crawl and a slot pull. We did the cabin crawl right after the M&M. We saw about 10 cabins. Some of the suites were amazing. If it wasn't for this cabin crawl I never would have seen any of these because the highest we go is a Balcony. The slot pull was really fun. We had about 20 people. Unfortunately we did not win a jackpot. So in answer to your question, the M&M is what your group makes of it.

  4. We were on this cruise also. I would agree with most of it except we didn't like The Gift or We Will Rock you. Everything else was great.

We had a balcony cabin and I can say after being on 22 cruises that this was the nicest one we have had. Lots of storage. The entire ship was beautiful. Room service was wonderful each morning.

The one thing I thought was distasteful was Matt Yee in the Schooner Bar passing around a tip jar after his act.

The Diamond Lounge had lots of seating and was never very crowded. The service there was excellent.

We liked the Anthem very much. We read many negative comments and don't agree with them.

We booked on board for another Anthem cruise.

  5. We just got off the Grandeur last Sat. Feb. 4. We were on a 12 night Southern Caribbean cruise. We have been on the larger ships too. We wanted to try a drive to port and I can say that was terrific. No hassles with flights, and transfers. We did stay overnight at a park and cruise hotel and it was less expensive than parking at the port.

The day we left there was a Noreaster. The bad thing about a smaller ship is that it really Rocks a lot! Be prepared for a lot of this up and down the east coast. We do not get sick but it was really hard to walk.

Well yes it is an older ship. We had an OV cabin on deck 3 midship. We always get a balcony but the cost difference on this ship was high so we settled for an oceanview. The cabin was very spacious but the bathroom was really tiny. It also had shower curtain instead of glass enclosures so the bathroom did get wet.

Being out on the ocean the pool deck was very windy and the solarium was small and it was hard to get a seat. Many people stay there and play games so they take up the tables for a very long time. The one thing I didn't like about the solarium pool was that you had a ladder to get in and out of instead of steps which is much easier.

The average age of the passengers was about 90. Lots of scooters and wheelchairs. We did meet people that are younger and we had more in common.

There was lots of trivia is you have an interest in that. There are shows every night. If you have late dining the show for you is at 7PM.

We actually meet a great group of friends who were traveling together who adopted us into their group so we had a good time at the Diamond Happy Hour every night.

Yes, the ship is old, but not too bad. I would go on her again. We are going on the Anthem in May which is a whole different experience.

So if you want a nice easy drive port experience, the Grandeur is fine.

  6. We are leaving on the Grandeur next Monday,Jan. 23. I will report back. I am happy to go before dry dock. We went on the Infinity just when it came out of dry dock. What happened there is that they still weren't finished and lots of work was still going on. The ship was really dirty from all the refurburishment.

I will report back after Feb. 4. This is a 12 night Caribbean cruise that we are going on,
