Thanks for all the help on this question of tipping. As usual on cruisecritic, I received the answer to my question.

Thanks for the replies. I have never taken advantage of the specialty restaurants. I prepaid for the dinner on the first night of the cruise, so I don't think the tip was added. Can't tip to much anyway so I will plan on having a tip ready. We are sailing on the 19 January on the Jewel out of New Orleans. I can hardly wait.

Would it be customary to tip at Moderno, since this is a different wait staff?
