  1. Hello, I am travelling from Australia in September 2023.  I have a question regarding COVID test requirement prior to boarding my second cruise.  Travelling on Koningsdam on 16.09.2023 and then one day in Vancouver and onto Brilliance of the seas leaving Vancouver and onto Hawaii.  I will have a test within 72 hours of arriving in Vancouver for first cruise on Koningsdam.  There is only one day between the two cruises.  If required how can I get this test done.  Would they be available on the Koningsdam or can I get them in Vancouver as a foreign citizen.  Thanks in advance.  Pinzel

  2. I have been cruising for many years. I now have an in-law that is rather obese and he would like to go on a cruise. The ships I have been on have rather small bathrooms that I don't think would accommodate him. Does anyone know which ships have better accommodations for obese travellers? I've always stayed in a "normal" room. Will he and his wife have to get a suite? Thanks for any help.

Hello Holland America is not a bad option as it has bathtubs in the ocean view cabins and there would be more room to get in and out. My husband and I are not small and have not had a problem with Holland America in these bathrooms. If they are mobile, they should have no problems with any ship that has a curtain rather than a hard glass slider etc. Lots of obese people on ships that have no problems. cheers

  3. Hi Pls

I have just come back from a cruise leaving Hong Kong and Asian ports don't seem to have any facilities for hire of scooters, the best i could do was $900 US for 2 weeks. This I thought was ridiculous and bought myself a wheelchair, which is collapsible only weighing 26 kg. This was great except some of the older ships have quite high door sills and they were hard on the wheelchair, although it handled it ok. I have seen these scooters recently which I think are a great portable scooter. They hold up to 100 kg and are also about the same weight as my wheelchair 26 kg. If you want more info, I might be able to help. The wheelchair and the scooter use lithium batteries and this was not a problem on the plane or with Celebrity. Cheers Pinzel
