Great thread! We are cruising in a couple of weeks. We are elite and this will be our first cruise without a package. It’s just my husband and I, if we were with friends (if they weren’t elite) I think we’d need to take the package. It’s a 12 night cruise with around 6 days off the ship on excursions. I really don’t think the package would be worth it. We plan to take a bottle of wine on board each. We bought a few bottles of wine in the Black Friday sale for dinners. The other nights we will avail of the 20% elite wine discount. We will use the HH each day that it’s available. For the rest of the time, we will pay as we go. I think it will work for us as this cruise is more about touring. A new experience for 2 passengers who have only ever had the premium package!

Many thanks for such a wonderful review. We board Solstice in HKG on 27th Jan. I’ve enjoyed every minute of your trip! Wishing you a safe onward journey.

I think it’s a good compromise. it’s nice to have some choice with a hark back to ‘the old days’ a few times through the cruise. May make it feel like more of an occasion. This gives good flexibility for choices at 5-7.

Just got off the Soltice yesterday. I had read all of your reviews regarding the changes in menu selection and food quality and thought they were just more cruise critic BS. My apologies to all of you. The Dining Room menu consisted of a one starter and one main course section. There were six or seven dishes section. Most of these dishes were repeated a few times during this seven day cruise. The Dining room menu should be an embarassment to Celebrity and the tasty factor is also gone. We tried the Tuscan Grill and it also seemed lacking. This was our first post covid on Celebrity. We only need a few cruises to be Elite Plus but if things dont change we will never see that. Like most of you we sail other lines as well and have sailed Princess twice post covid. It has also changed but not nearly as badly as Celebrity. We will try Azamara or Oceania again , I am not going to pay for " Golden Corral " quality food with poor selection. , . On the plus side the crew is hard working and we enjoyed the balcony cabin on the hump.
Sorry to hear this! We have Solstice booked for January. We’ve only done the MDR on one celebrity cruise, we weren’t impressed, if it’s worse than that- oh dear! We are going to book a dining package but it’s a shame that it’s gone that way. I’m glad to hear the crew and cabin were good. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your cruise.

I received the email and added it online, however, when I log back in, it has disappeared. I’ve tried it a couple of times with no luck. I receive 15% loyalty discount so it’s no biggie.

We met Darren on Quest in March 22. He was training under Amanda. He was wonderful, a really lovely person with a great attitude. We are on Journey at the end of September, shame we will miss him.

I assume you purchased that bottle? Or was that offered by the glass on a drink package?
This was what was offered on the premium drinks package. They’re were four of us having a glass at dinner and the waiter set the bottle down on the table, as we asked him to take a picture of us.

I disembarked Silhouette yesterday morning in Southampton. We had breakfast and left the ship just before 9. We were a party of 4 with luggage so we got a taxi. We had booked the 9.45 to Heathrow and arrived at the station around 9.15. Both embarkation and disembarkation were exceptionally smooth and quick on our cruise, which was fully booked.

Yes, I presume so. Looking forward to the Martini Bar!

Ours says PALL and CALL too. I presumed it as we upgraded from classic to premium. I haven’t seen it described like this before either. We usually just have PALL on our card.

It’s going on too long now. I’d be interested to know has anyone’s cabin number changed? As of yesterday (after I received email assuring me my account was up to date) mine is different to the one I booked. I’d like my original cabin back! Forward bookings must be suffering, no way would I book at the minute. Not answering the phones to travel agents is unbelievable. I’m sure I can sort my OBC and points once onboard, however I’d like my cabin sorted before that. I’m not traveling until September so will leave it at the minute.

I am having the same trouble. My OBC, loyalty points and amount to pay are all incorrect. Now, today my cabin number has changed! I’ve had three emails asking for payment when my balance isn’t due until June, and will be paid through TA. I have communicated to my TA the above and have been reassured that all will be ok. I have to say though I’m starting to wonder…..

There seems to be conflicting information on the website. One page says the test no longer needs to be supervised for UK and EU. The ‘sailing from Europe’ page still states a supervised test. We board on Saturday from Barcelona. I hope this is clarified soon. Villa UK - how are you? Long time no see!

Can we upgrade to premier onboard, or do we need to upgrade before boarding?

Fantastic review! Not a morning drinker but could be tempted by that breakfast drinks menu ha ha. We are in Sky in November. Looking forward to the rest of the review.

Your White Night sounds wonderful. Thanks for such a great trip report. I’m counting the days until we join in Miami. Enjoy the rest of this sector of your cruise.

I did a 3 night cruise on quest from Nice. We had a white night. We were not expecting one. It was fabulous!
water bottle brand on Solstice

We were on solstice Jan/feb. The bottled water was local water. It seemed to change from port to port.
