As to the question about Gasparilla, the cruise terminal is a 15 or 20 minute walk from the Convention Center where the Jose Gaspar (the pirate ship ) docks. However, it does not dock until 1 PM. And as noted the parade does not begin until 2 PM at a point 4.5 miles down Bayshore Blvd. So, if you decide to wander from the cruise terminal, you most likely will only see a crowd and I mean a crowd, especially along the waterfront.

If you enjoy people watching, you will see a lot of pirate costumes and other characters in the area. Won't be the actual festival, but it might be fun !

Just looked at Vic's link to Trip advisor. The hotels listed are all in St. Pete, Clearwater or the beaches. I have stayed at many of them and they are all quite nice. However, the listed distances from the port are wildly wrong. Those on the beach are listed at +/- 7 miles. Try 30+. Some in downtown St. Pete are listed at less than a mile, try 25-30. Just a head's up.

Sorry for bad info. I never played and every time I walked by,it was packed. So I gues I assumed there were more tables and live dealers. And......we all know what assuming does.:D

Was on the Oasis in early Dec. and the answer is yes....5 or 6 tables.

Whatever floats your boat tv. As you say there is a high probabilty of drawing a 10. But that is also true for the dealer and when the dealer has a break card, you want to get more money on the table. As for the duece, it is a really scary card and sometimes I will hit the 6s against the 2. Statisticaly splitting makes sense but we all play the way we play.

If you really believe you have the least bit of control on the dice,you are delusional. If you are a net winner over those 5 years(which is highly unlikely), you can chalk it up to being very lucky,nothing more.

Ok, $20 4 or 10, you have a choice, have it pay $36 or pay the buck up front, get paid $40, pay another buck to leave it up there, now I know where your coming from, the problem is, there are not many places that are now letting you pay the vig after the win, now :(

Reading you guys is exactly why I am reticent to even step up to a craps table. You are speaking Greek and I have no idea what you are saying.

I will stick to Bj's(cards and otherwise):D.Maybe not as exciting but at least I feel that I have a small idea what is going on.
