I had an offer last month to receive 10,000 points for booking a cruise on Carnival's website. I did but never received the points. I need to call them but have just been putting it off.
I took advantage of the same offer last week. The fine print said that the bonus points will post to your account in 6-8 weeks. So I'll be watching for them around Christmas...

There is a link in that email to see your "Rewards Activity". That link will take you to Barclay's site where you will need to log in to see your rewards activity. There will be another link on that page to view your Digital Gift Card. Hopefully that helps...

It was my husband , he made his account and then bought the cards immediately afterwards, got a notification to verify is email, but no e cards have come through. I have bought them before and received them via email right away.
Give it 24 hours before worrying... It took a little bit for me to get my gift card when buying them from a brand new AARP account. I ordered it at 9:30am one day last week and it showed up in my email the next morning around 3am. They must take a bit longer to process when the account is just opened.

I agree. Very quick for me. like minutes after ordering. Check Spam and if you don't see them by tomorrow, I would reach out to AARP.
It finally showed up in my email at 3am this morning. So, it took 17 hours to process this one... I will chalk it up to the fact that I joined AARP, then the rewards program and bought a gift card all at the same time yesterday morning. Probably just needed extra processing time for a new account.
Thanks everyone!

Thank you for the responses. I checked my spam folder and nothing there.. I chatted with them online and got the canned response that it takes up to 24 hours to receive the GC. They do see the order in their system, so that's promising, I guess... Maybe this one is taking longer because I just joined AARP this morning and signed up for the REWARDS a couple minutes before I placed the order. I'll give them the 24 hours before I make contact again.

What is the typical turn around time for the AARP e-gift cards? I placed my first order a few hours ago for a Carnival GC and haven't received so much as a confirmation of the order. The order shows in my transaction history on AARP Rewards and my credit card was charged quickly.... I usually had the Allstate E-GC within a few minutes of ordering and always received an order confirmation. Just hoping the website didn't glitch, because it sat on the processing screen for longer than I liked.

AARP is currently running a flash sale for $9 per year if you sign up for 5 years, so $45 for a 5 year membership. Saw it in my FB feed this morning.

Just curious... Why wouldn't you just take your rental car to the port and return it there? You could skip the Carnival airport shuttle and save some money. Returning a car around Port Canaveral is a piece of cake and then they have a free shuttle to take you over to the ship. This is what we do when we sail from Port Canaveral.

Yes, but that doesn't affect the cruise ships. All the cruise ships that port at Canaveral have less than a 30' draft.

Port Canaveral is now open to cruise traffic. The Disney Wish and Carnival Liberty just pulled into port.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like it might be best to wait and grab a little bit later flight to avoid some stress and possible divorce (LOL). It looks like it's going to be a pretty busy day in port on Dec. 4 (thanks twins_to_alaska), which will likely make transportation and MIA a madhouse that morning (we don't have TSA precheck either). I appreciate all the info, I didn't think to look at the port schedule for the day....

Probably a stupid question, but I have to ask... LOL
Is it plausible or nearly impossible to make a 10:25am flight out of MIA from Port of Miami on a Sunday morning in early December? We would carry off all of our bags from the Horizon and would not be checking anything at the airport (we travel light). There's a non-stop flight from MIA to CLE that is very enticing that day, but it's been a long time since I've flown out of MIA. What say the professionals?
Thanks in advance!

Have I missed something somewhere? Was there an announcement about gratuities being increased in the near future? I usually prepay, so if they're going up I'd like to know so I can get them paid for my Nov. 2021 cruise. Thanks.

I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread, I would have never thought to buy CCL stock before reading this thread. I'm not much of a gambler, but I decided to dip my toe into the market last week and bought 700 shares of Carnival at $8.00 and then pulled that toe back out today at $19.00. Not a bad little profit this week, although I'm sure Uncle Sam will grab me by the short-hairs next year. I think we're going to see another downward trend, so I figured I'd get out while the gettin was good. If it dips back into the single digits again, I'll jump back into the pool... Thanks again!

I agree with the above.. When you enter your address, make sure you don't put any punctuation in the address. I had to remove the period in my street address for it to work.... Their website is so buggy.

The delivery message you received is likely for the card you ordered on 3/6. That card probably didn't ship until 3/9 because UPS doesn't ship on Saturdays or Sundays. The 2 cards that were ordered last night will likely ship today, tomorrow at the latest. Allstate has been pretty quick about getting these cards sent out.

I had the same issue the other day when I was buying my Cheers package with a gift card.... I finally scrolled down a little bit farther on the page and saw where it was asking for the gift card holder's address. After I filled out that portion, I was able to complete my order without issue. This may be the same issue you're having....

Just to confirm (since I was the one who asked). My gift card did ship out of Streetsboro, OH. I ordered it 3/4, it shipped 3/5, and I received it by UPS on 3/6. That's some quick service.

Thanks. Even Flint, MI is a next day UPS ground delivery for me, so I guess I'll find out tomorrow...
-
Are everyone's cards being shipped out of Streetsboro, Ohio? Just curious as I ordered a $1000 card yesterday that shipped today. If it's coming out of Streetsboro, I should have it tomorrow since I'm about 5 miles from there....

I haven't read any reports yet of problems with the pools on the Getaway. You may be thinking of the Breakaway.
Are the pools not the same between the Breakaway and Getaway? I thought they were identical sister ships.

Just visited St. Maarten last Friday aboard the GEM. It's probably our most favorite stop on their eastern Caribbean itinerary.

what a great way to trash a brand new ship!!
Exactly what I was thinking.
Gift Card Issues
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
The Carnival website is processing gift cards again. I just applied a $500 GC to make a payment on one of my cruises for 2025.
