  1. I take mine every cruise, I waypoint the docks so when I'm off the ship i can find it if I get lost. To the nay sayers YorN and firemannobswife try typing positive replays you 2 are block list fodder for sure

  2. Just curious....but what happens if the persons towel is removed and they come back hours later and can't find their towel? Will they end up having to pay the $20 or so amount to replace the beach towel? I always wondered about that.

who cares if they have to pay or not

  3. I will deal with my own soap always do, I'm basic a bar of Dial for me, nothing fancy like Irish Spring or the oil of old lady, opps I mean Olay. Just bring back the chocolate on the pillow and all is forgiven.

  4. Must have changed? when I cruised the rear pool and the hot tubs at the rear were adult only.

That was the way it was on the very first cruise of Splendor, I know because I was on it and spent a ton of time in the rear hot tubs.

  5. not to sound negative, but if i were enjoying the adult only area i would not appreciate someone bringing in a child...sleeping or not. That area is called "serenity", not "have a crying baby wake up area". There are plenty of areas on the ship that are for everyone, in my opinion people should respect the areas that are for adults only...just like i respect the areas that are for kids only.

  6. Why won't the dad sign the affidavit for consent to travel with one parent? Do they share custody?

Because he is a small, petty, and jealous fool that would rather use his kids as a pawn to hurt his ex wife, maybe a new man in her life and most of all his kids.

  7. I have no moral objections to rum runners, but if they're so miraculously invisible to x-rays, why isn't everyone using them to smuggle liquids on planes, through the x-rays at the airport?

I suspect the reason they work is not due to invisibility, but because they're just not bottle shaped, and the security teams are mostly scanning for bottles. I'm sure they can spot them, but decided not to seek them out.

I don't try to smuggle on a plane because I don't want any hassle with Homeland Security.

  8. Good point. There is no other reason to use them, is there? So rum runner users = cheapskates.

I use mine in my golf bag too, no bar on the 4th tee. I also use them at a hotel so I can enjoy a drink at a hotel that is not attached to a lounge so I don't have to drink and drive. If using a rum runner and not drinking and driving make me a cheapskate, than so be it.

  9. Likewise, since embarkation is what passengers do and not ships, no cruise line has ever held them prior to embarkation. What they have normally been is prior to departure. (Although, I was on Adventure once when the drill was held at 10:00am the morning following departure.)

Yeah the next day thing happened on the Concordia, I don't think next day musters will be happening again ever.

  10. Only that pencil doesnt have stabilizers or that bulbous thing at the front that sends equal water waves from the Bow down the entire length of the ship giving it stability and thus more power.

Take a tea spoon, put your finger at the spoon end, try to balance it steady then figure out how a Swan fly s! Pencil- cruies ship - Tea spoon-Swan, you just cant make a comparison.

that ''bulbous thing at the front'' gives the ship more power, and stability. I wonder why they don't use them in Nascar or on drag racers. those guys are always looking for a edge.

  11. Let them check I'm a school bus driver, FBI and State background checks. Than I also own a small fencing company that has a contract to repair a local air ports, so I also have a TSA pass to be unsupervised inside the security fence, FBI and Homeland Security background check. The wife has worked for our state DOT and has also been background checked with the State, FBI and Homeland Security. I'm not too worried about a cruise line checking up on me.

  12. I think you need to suck it up buttercup. Stop looking for what is wrong on your cruises and try to have some fun. I seen your post on how to act on-board, I have had every thing you mentioned happen to me on all the cruises I have been on. No offence the same people you complain about will never see your blog, why because they don't care about anyone else besides them

  13. From RCCL website:

: "Guests are not allowed to bring beer, hard liquor or non-alcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use. Guests may bring personal wine and champagne onboard only on boarding day, limited to two (2) 750 ml bottles per stateroom. When consumed in any public area, each bottle shall be subject to a corkage fee of $25.00. Additional bottles of wine beyond two (2) bottles that are brought onboard or any alcoholic beverages purchased in ports-of-call or from Shops On Board will be stored by the ship and delivered to your stateroom on the last day of the sailing. Alcoholic beverages seized on embarkation day will not be returned.

Security may inspect containers (water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, luggage etc.) and will dispose of containers holding alcohol. Guests who violate any alcohol policies, (over consume, provide alcohol to people under age 21, demonstrate irresponsible behavior, or attempt to conceal alcoholic items at security and or luggage check points or any other time), may be disembarked or not allowed to board, at their own expense, in accordance with our Guest Conduct Policy. Guests who are under the permitted drinking age will not have alcohol returned to them."

While one may "get away" with concealing wine in checked luggage, one may never see it again. If found, they may hold it until the end of the cruise, might destroy it, or one might miss the cruise. Seems like each year, each cruise line is becoming more strict regarding bringing wine on board and the rules seem to be more standardized across the cruise lines.

Got to love control C and control V , makes for fast work of plugging up threads
