  1. Thanks everyone! After more thought and discussion I went ahead and booked the Thermal Suite couple's pass.  We decided to make the most of that, along with the couples massage!

@gjsmth It's under Spa in your booking, try looking under relaxation.

  2. Hello!  We are booking a couple's massage for a day of our cruise.  With that booking, are we allowed to access the thermal suite area?  Or do you know if we can pay to use it for a day?  All I see is a pass that is for the entire week and we wouldn't not get the use out of that.

    Thanks!

  3. I'll try to make a long story short.  My daughter was to be married on Vista 3/14.  The cruises were all cancelled 3/13.  I finally spoke to Carnival Weddings on the 14th after hours on hold and was told wedding was cancelled and I'd get a refund in 7-10 days.  We had a lot of guests from near and far there so we had an impromptu wedding 3/14 in good faith that we'd get a wedding refund.  Guess what, we have not.

They owe me thousands.  I need that money.  I've been told 7-10 days since the 14th.  Today they said 2-3 months.

I'm an understanding person.  I get that there are thousands of cruisers affected.  But how many brides?  If Carnival wants to participate in the wedding business they need to do much better!  They didn't even call the bride or groom to let them know their big day, planned since Jan 2018, was cancelled!

  4. My daughter's wedding was for 3/14/20 on Carnival Vista.  The cruise was cancelled around 6-7 pm 3/13/20.  We could not get through to Carnival Weddings or Carnival.  I finally got someone on the phone 11 am 3/14 to confirm the wedding was cancelled and she apologized and said she would process my refund.  I still don't have the refund.

We pulled off a miracle, though.  My daughter was married last Sat. at an Episcopal church in Galveston at 4 pm and then we had a wonderful dinner reception at Landry's on the seawall in Galveston.

Pixels Packages purchased pre-cruise on Carnival.com for Mardi Gras, Panorama, Horizon, Vista, Breeze and  Conquest are redeemed as Digital files, the other ships as prints on the size they originally come in.

Thanks, but this restriction is what has me confused.  I'm on Vista.

  6. I am interested in purchasing the Pixels package on Vista.  But I can't find an answer to my question...  I understand on Vista you get digital files rather than photographs, but do we still get a 16 x 20 canvas portrait?

Thanks for any help on this!

  7. My daughter is getting married on Vista on March 14.  We have 18 sailing guests and so far I think 40 non-sailing.  Carnival will only allow 50 non-sailing so we had to be very careful with that number.  Still confirming that why I say I think 40.

We have silk flowers we are taking on board.  At the reception we have favors (flip flops for dancing and anchors that are bottle openers) and I have a small canvas of the couple that will sit on a table with guest book and card box.

That's it!  We do have a cake topper, and I'm sure a few other things I'm not thinking of.  All in all very simple and we are all very excited!

  8. Found this online and thought it would help if you're new to LRC:

Left Right Center is a dice game for three or more players, It is entirely a game of chance. The players make no decisions of any kind, even as to wagering.

Each player begins with three $1 bills. Players take it in turn to roll the six-sided dice, each of which is marked with "L", "C", "R" on one side, and a single dot on the three remaining sides. For each "L" or "R" thrown, the player must pass one dollar to the player to his left or right, respectively. A "C" indicates a dollar to the center (pot). A dot has no effect.
If a player has fewer than three dollars left (including zero) he is still in the game but his number of dollars is the number of dice he rolls on his turn, rather than rolling all three. The winner is the last player with dollars left. He does not roll the dice, and wins the center pot.

Note that since no player is ever "out" (even when they have no dollars), the number of players does not change.

This game is really a lot of fun!

  9. Hello, we will be cruising in a few weeks (YAY) and have used the social media package with success. However, this time we may try a different internet package because my son plays college basketball and we want to stream his games twice. Does anyone have any experience? Do you think the wi-fi is good enough to stream a live basketball game?

    TIA!

  10. We renewed our vows on Carnival Triumph for our 20th anniversary in Dec. I did book Carnival's package and was very pleased. We didn't have any family traveling with us, it was just the two of us. I wore a beautiful ivory lace gown - bought on amazon of all places!

My husband got a new suit. We found vows we wanted to say and sent them to the wedding coordinator. We ordered a red velvet cake with cream cheese icing - delicious! Had it served to us and our table that night at dinner. Ceremony was on last sea day, at noon. It was super special to us. Photographer took us all over ship taking pictures and we bought a few.
