  1. This is our first Viking cruise and Viking Ocean cruise and I was wondering what, if any, extra things we should bring to make our room more serviceable and comfortable. For example, we have brought magnets with hooks, extra clothesline, clip to hang by door for papers etc. Do people have a list of what they like to bring? I would love any ideas that you may have. We are on a London to Bergen Midnight Sun trip June 17th. Thank you in advance!

  2. Does anyone want to resurrect this thread? I joined ww in November of 2019 and stopped following from Thanksgiving until after the 1st of this year. I decided that I really needed to get back on board as I had a terrible time getting around in Barcelona on a 10 day trip over Christmas. I have psoriatic arthritis and stenosis in my lower back, so getting this weight off (around 90 pounds) is important. I also joined a gym this last week to really help build up my core strength and stamina. Cruising in June for 2 weeks but will be gone for 4, so hoping to not fall off the wagon. I currently fast for about 14 hours a day, by not having breakfast (but not hungry) and may do this on a day to day basis, Hope others will join back here. Looking for lots of guidance from people who have done ww while cruising!

  3. Disigny, just wanted to say that if you want to join bigger tables of people, don't let the fact that you are eating differently stop you. If that was what you enjoyed about the cruise, I don't think you should give that up. I don't think sharing of food, dessert or anything else will disrupt anyone else's enjoyment of their meal. I follow a strict WW plan and I will be doing that wherever and whenever on my cruise I want! Congrats on sticking to your plan and exercise regime! Good luck.

  4. Hi there. While I know this thread is about UBP, I have a question about the bottled water. Why is it necessary to bring bottled water on board? Isn't all the water on the ship ok to drink? If I bring a refillable bottle (which I usually do for environmental reasons), isn't this enough? Is there some reason to specifically want the bottled water, such as the water on the ships is not really that good for you or tastes terrible? Thanks. First cruise on NCL.

  5. We are on our way to Vancouver this coming Friday!! We will be going to Granville Island to see "Suds" at the Artsclub Theatre (I think this is the name), and I wondered what was the best way to get there and back in the evening? We are renting a car on Friday and could keep through Saturday night, but would prefer to turn it in. Also, any restaurant you would reccommend for dinner near the theatre? We will have a 13 year-old with us. Thanks.

  6. Hi. First of all, thank you to all of the Vancouver posters. This will be the easiest part of the trip to plan! I have a question about finding a szechuan or hunan chinese restaurant that is easily accessible to the downtown area or chinatown. Does anyone have a favorite? All responses are welcome!
