  1. We just got off the Summit 2 weeks ago and were disappointed with the food in Blu.  We didn't go to the MDR since that menu didn't appeal to us either.  We ate most of our 3 meals a day in the buffet.  I could always find something there that I liked.  We have a 32 day cruise booked to Tahiti and Australia on the Solstice for next year but we're going to cancel after our last cruise on Celebrity.  I think they are having a problem with staffing too.

We leave on Saturday on Equinox. Always book Aqua. Hope Blu is as great as it has always been.  Last time we sailed X was January 2920.  Have sailed 4 times on Viking Ocean since then.  They were great. A very different experience than X. As Elite Plus, we have a booking on Azamara,  which will be our second cruise with them, and we are Discovery Plus, so have gotten our Elite Plus perks.

We got off a 12 day cruise on the Summit less than 2 weeks ago.  We were in Aqua Class and it is not what we expected.  We have sailed in AQ many times and since Covid it has gone down hill.  The menu daily was lackluster in Blue.  Our cabin was nice but we never got our robes, our welcome bottle of champagne and we had to ask for our 2 bottles of water.  In 12 days we only ate in Blu twice for dinner.  We will not travel in AQ from here on out unless things change.

This is what makes the process even more frustrating (sorry...I don't mean you!). I cancelled on March 10th and NOTHING! So you cancelled a day after me for a cruise in June and got a refund. I cancelled a day before for a March cruise and still waiting...16 days and counting. Again, not frustrated about you - thank you for sharing. Just frustrated about the process....

So sorry I can surely understand your frustration.  With all this confusion and cancellations hoping you'll get your refund soon.  Did you make your reservation with a TA or direct with Princess?

  4. We cancelled our June 25th cruise on March 11 and got our refund the next day.  We had already made final payment but when Princess extended the no cancellations fees if cancelled before 60 days of sailing which was April 25th we could get a full refund which we took.  Sad we had to do this but we're seasoned citizens and my husband has a compromised condition we really had no other choice.  Plus we were concerned a lot of ports and or tourist sites would be limited.  This is what we went by posted on Princess website on March 10th:

Revised Final Payment Timing on June 2020 Departures

Additionally, we are amending Final Payment on cruises and cruisetours sailing June 1 through June 30, 2020.

    Date of Departure* Benefit
June 1, 2020 - June 30, 2020 Final Payment moves to 60 days prior to sailing

*Date of departure is from the start date of your cruise or cruisetour, whichever is earlier. Excludes charter cruises.

To ensure we cover guests who already made final payment, the revised final payment date means no cancellation fees will be assessed until 60 days prior to sailing.

  5. We were on the Eclipse last May and the Spa Café did not offer the proteins.  I miss that perk - I would make a salad at the buffet and then get a grilled tuna on top at the SC - it was a daily lunch for me.  Oh well...hope they bring it back!

  6. We've been on Equinox twice and loved it.  We are seasoned citizens and not looking for rock wall climbing, etc. but just relaxation and great itineraries.  We don't do shows, casino but love that the pools and jacuzzi are open until late when the ship is so quiet and relaxing.  Not sure how your teens will enjoy but I know there are venues they might like.  We did the 10 day ABC islands and another 10 day southern Caribbean

We took free walking tour (the main one) just a few weeks ago.  Was quite good. Left from the statue across the bridge north of Christianborg Palace.  There were about 20 people - mostly in their 20’s to 50’s.  We liked the very good pace and everyone kept up great!  In my opinion it would not be so good for anyone who had mobility issues or didn’t like to walk.  Fortunately in our group everyone did.  I would guess we did about 4 miles or so in 2 hours.  Hope this helps.

Can we take this walking tour from where the cruise ships dock?

  8. Just off the Journey a week ago and it was lovely with no problems whatsoever!  Sure it could use a bit of a facelift but did it affect my cruise - not at all.  The crew was so friendly and always acknowledged us no matter where we were on the ship...the food, service, cabin attendants just all were excellent IMHO.  The Captain was present throughout the ship and even greeted us as we disembarked the ship.  We would definitely cruise with AZ again

  9. We are on the 28 day cruise on the Island Princess on June 25, 2020 and booked it when the sip and sail wasn't available.  We enjoy the unlimited beverage package and if we booked it without the "sip and Sail" it would cost us almost $4000.  When the package became available we asked our TA to see if we would be able to get this.  We had to add $600 pp to the fare which seemed like a good deal for us....saving almost $2500.  Any thoughts?

  10. We are sailing on the Journey on July 17 - does anyone know if the Sanctum Terrace if open to everyone and is there a fee?  Also, can we make reservations to use it during the cruise ahead of sailing?  Thank you!

  11. We got off the Eclipse on our 10 day cruise to Alaska on May 19.  It was an absolutely wonderful cruise with friends and everyone we met were so excited to be going to Alaska.  The weather was beyond expectations as I too thought it would be colder but we had blue skies and warm temps almost everyday.  One thing I would suggest to Paul and Edward would be to do a land tour in Anchorage/Denali/Fairbanks/Copper River/Kenai before your cruise or after your next cruise.  Alaska is beautiful!

  12. I've been trying to get an updated invoice too as I added the Enjoyment package to my cruise and was told I would receive one the day I ordered it - that was over 2 weeks ago!  I can't find anything on AZ website saying I ordered it.  I tried calling and was on hold for a long time so I sent an email.  Hopefully I'll get an answer!

Yes they are. It would be a good idea to enroll in Le Club Voyage. You can do so here https://www.azamaraclubcruises.com/le-club-voyage/enrollment?_ga=2.200722542.1944412946.1547212657-1338312259.1544445068&_gac=1.195807512.1546373753.EAIaIQobChMIvdrzi7PN3wIVxLHtCh0LnACjEAAYASAAEgIYifD_BwE

Your LCV level will depend on what level you are on Celebrity. There is a section at the bottom of this page that shows the level equivalence across Azamara, Celebrity & RCL. https://www.azamaraclubcruises.com/le-club-voyage/le-club-voyage-program/member-benefits

    Thank you so much!
