Hoopster,
Fantastic review so far!! We board Brilliance next week. Your detailed review has been very helpful for our upcoming trip. I can't wait to read more. I have one small question. Was the espresso machine in the DL working!?:p On one of our past cruises, it was always broken!
Thanks,
Ali

I am not sure if they sell city passes, I'm sorry id I have told otherwise..
I know for sure that they sell 2 and 3 zone single tickets.
2 zones is for trips to central Copenhagen and 3 zones is our to the airport.
It's not a machine so you pay it at the kiosk.
You can however get the city pass on your mobile phone, just go to Citypass.dk
Another quick note, The Citypass is not the same as the Copenhagen Card.
Citypass is only transportation in zones 1 to 4.
So that's Copenhagen Frederiksberg and the Island of Amager where Ørestad, Christianshavn, Christiania and the airport is located.
Copenhagen Card covers transportation in the entire metropolitan area (Køge, Roskilde, Helsingør etc) plus free or reduced entrance to most sites.
Thank you so much for your quick reply! I at least have some options on how to get to our hotel!

Hi Danish King!
Thank you so much for all your great information. I have a quick question. Our ship will be arriving at Oceankaj August 1. We are thinking of taking the bus to our hotel. You mentioned that we can get city passes at the hut in between terminals. Will there be a person we can buy these from so we can use our credit cards? If its a ticket machine, we only have chip and signature card, and I know it wont work in the machine.
Thanks!

Ok thanks ! I always hate to be a bother but I don't want to take a chance ! LOL
I am the same way, but I knew from past experiences on the Adventure the bed might not be comfortable. We have been pretty lucky with our attendants.
-
Did you ask for the mattress topper right away ? I hate hard beds ! LOL Thanks !
I first tried it out, and no luck. She put the topper on the following day for me, but if you don't want to take a chance, ask for it the minute you see your attendant.:)

Another shout out for Bernards tours!!!:)

Mike,
Great itinerary! If you are a beach person, head on over to the Tiki Bar in Barbados and Carambola for St Kitts.
We have one booked in July for the Baltics and then switching back to Celebrity for the Caribbean in 2018.

We are on AOTS in mid Feb. We too are on Deck 7. Any chance your room was 7274 or near?
Cruised on Navigator last year. Now her sister ship. Looking forward to it.
We were in 7270 :) Hopefully Annie will still be the room attendant for this block of cabins..she ROCKED! Location is good..it was very quiet.

Thank you! We are leaving this Saturday and I was wondering the same thing!

If you have upper tier status like the previous poster mentioned, you can bypass the first line for dropping off your bags.
Have a great cruise!

Hi Ali,
We fly down to San Juan Friday....SO READY TO GO.....lol
Where in Chicago are you? NW side here
we're in a balcony deck 9, heard the rooms have not been redone yet.
Not worried about it, I'm sure it will be great as usual.
You cruise a lot?
Hi Mike!
We are about 10-15 minutes west of Wrigley down Addison. We were able to walk there during the World Series..oh man..CRAZY..but totally worth it:D
Even though the rooms are still the same, you will love the balcony. The only issue I had was our mattress. Hard as a rock, but our wonderful room attendant added more mattress toppers. Everything was sparkling clean. What is your itinerary for Friday??
This was our 4th time on Adventure and our 17th cruise.

Hi,
We just got back! We got to the pier last week around 11:30 and was onboard by 12. We have always arrived between 11-12 and have never had a problem getting on at this time.

Hi,
We just got back. I was only in the Windjammer twice for dinner. I didn't see any sushi, but every night they had a theme. We were there for Carribean night and Indian night. Both nights the food was really good. I have to admit tho that I have never been impressed with the Windjammer on the Adventure.:(

We just got off the Adventure on New Years Eve. The sauna and steam room is complimentary. It's very nice! Great big showers and towels.
As for the refurbishment, the only real difference I noticed where the water slides, Flow Rider, and new carpeting. Our balcony cabin on deck 7 was not redone. The ship is still in great condition and everyone on board was fantastic!

What everyone says! We did the self disembark and were WAY to early for the airport for a 10:00 flight! You will be fine:)

Mary,
Thank you for your review!! We sail on Christmas Eve. I am so glad you enjoyed Cosol and Bernard Tours! We have used both of them in the past and always recommend!!
Good to hear the ship looks good! We were on her this past February, and she was still in pretty good condition.

Jazzy,
I second the Old Lahaina Luau! We did it 2 years ago with Desert Cruizers ( Hi Gay!!! ) We had a huge group with our roll call. If you do this, I would book as soon as you can.
CoralC, what time does the ship leave? If its around 11pm, you can do the Luau!

Where is the Diamond Club Lounge located for evening drinks?
Nana57,
It's on Deck 14, off to the side from the Viking Crown Lounge. It's a really nice space. It has outdoor seating overlooking the basketball court. It was a great place to get my afternoon espresso fix and read in quiet!;)

Thanks for answering the helipad question! We sailed out of Venice before, but it was raining:(:( I'm hoping this time is better!!

Grady,
Thanks so much for the detailed pics and review! We sail her at the end of August.
Question, is the helipad sailaway for Elites and + on every cruise? We will be sailing out of Venice, and it would be great if we get this perk!!!:)

Given the current US dollar to Euro exchange rate, there's not much that could keep me out of Europe right now. Besides, I live in New York, these things are random and I'll go wherever I darn well please.
I second this, I live in Chicago. We leave in August for our Dalmation Coast cruise. I totally understand some people being apprehensive about traveling , but like other posters have stated, I refuse to change my way of life.

Hi Jane!
Slightly off topic, but I just want to say thanks for recommending The Tiki Bar in Barbados a few months back. It was the best beach day we had!!! I always look to your reviews to find all the best beaches/resorts to go to:)
Thanks!!

Hi,
We were on the Silhoutte a few months back, and the internet was HORRIBLE. We had the 90 minutes free, and we were unable to use it. We couldn't even log on, it was that bad. Since you are travelling to Alaska, maybe pop into a cafe before you get back on the ship. Most places will have free wifi with a coffee:)
