Taxis are readily available outside the port building. No need to book in advance.

No comparison. Not even in the same league. Sagrada.

In 2015 we took an English language cooking class at the main (La Bouqueria) market on La Ramblas. My husband was reluctant and whined for days prior, but I could see he really got into it. Afterwards, I asked him "so, when did you stop being bored?" "When the chef started talking!" It was the highlight of our trip.
First after a little introduction, the chef took the group down in the market to buy our lunch ingredients. We learned how to select the best ingredients. Then we went back upstairs and everyone had tasks to do to prepare the lunch. We made gazpacho, Spanish omelet (with potato in it), Paella, and Creme Catalan (including torching the sugar on top). While we were cooking, a server came in and set up a lovely table, which we then filled with our food and ate together. She also cleaned up ALL the mess!
Afterward, we had a little restaurant talk, with addresses and what to order. Our recipes were emailed to us.
The class cost about ~$80 in Euros. We booked on line well in advance. It was worth EVERY PENNY!
