There is no pool in The Sanctuary. On all the different iterations of Grand-class ships the Lap Pool next to the Lotus Spa is designated adults only but otherwise open to all, not just paying customers of the Spa or The Sanctuary. The aft Terrace Pool is designated adults only as well.

On Coral and Island Princess the Lotus Pool is designated adults only but not practical to enforce due to its midship location and also having the Ice Cream Bar within its limits.

(Actually the Sun-class ships do have a small splash pool in The Sanctuary just in case the OP may be headed for the Pacific Rim)

The Santuary Pool is the Lotus pool, but it is open to anyone over 18.

Ship? We were on both Meraviglia and Seashore recently and both had that “type” of show (Mera Carousel, forget what Seashore’s venue was called) but neither required payments or tickets.

That is not true. The shows in the main theater are free each night, but the two Cirque-type shows in the intimate 400-seat Carousel theater are $12 in advance or $18 if you book on the ship. The Cirque-type shows have never been free.

You can Google them …plenty of YouTube videos.

we didn’t go for it (on virtuosa right now) largely because when you are on a drinks package the free drink is not a benefit and so the shows seemed costly.

I would say that the main theatre shows (free) are excellent

$12 for a Cirque type show is costly? You've got to be kidding me? That is dirt cheap, with the included drink or not.

yes, there has been a simple set of bathrooms and outdoor shower for a long time ... and a few picnic tables .... but no food/drink or rental snork' gear etc.  Occasionally an ice cream vendor is hanging around.

So brink your own water/drinks ....

another reason I recommend walking to Sunset House for the return trip!

Is Sunset House and My Bar still open post Covid?  Thanks.

I suspect  one of four things happened:

    (1) You weren't clear that this was a Cruise Critic Meet and Greet and your request was misunderstood

    (2) You accidentally sent the request to the wrong person (AFAIK it's supposed to go to the group events coordinator, not the special events coordinator. )Address for the Dawn should be groupeventdawn@ncl.com

(3)The individual you sent it to has been on the job for 15 minutes and doesn't know what they're doing

    (4) NCL has found a new previously untapped source of revenue

the email address is specialeventsdawn@ncl.com, not what you posted.

You are never contacted by the ship's concierge. And you are not suppose to be contacted by them. Per post above, 50 days prior to cruise,. you should receive a letter from the pre-concierge and luggage tags via snail mail.

We feel that the pre-concierge has little value and prefer to build a rapport with the real concierge and butler on the ship when we embark.  You can ask them for regular or decaf coffee pods (the default is both are provided in your room).

    It us SUPPOSED, not suppose.

The charge for the steam room/sauna is a new policy. It just started. Before that they were free. Now you have to pay to use them like you do on other cruise lines.

However, if you are in YC, they are free for those passengers.

Are the steam rooms and saunas co-ed or separated by sex?

Says you can bid on more than one category..

Whilst I'm on - another quick q - it says the price is "per person based on 2 sharing" - so I assume that as a single, if I bid £100, the total will be 200?

No, it is per person, not per cabin.

I heard second-hand that doing the waterfalls independently is better than going through the ship.  Maybe the water is getting shallower, and the ships don't want to risk you diving or jumping in from high up.

I agree with you. The issue for me is I am traveling solo, so a taxi or rental car would be expensive for one person.

We rented a golf cart in Grand Turk for a hundred bucks and drove to the other end of the island in the cart.  We found a nice quiet beach in front of the national museum away from the touristy stuff.  The waves were like a 4-inch surf.  LOL.  I have never swum in beach waves that small.  My favorite part were all the wild donkeys.  You can feed them at the lighthouse.  They are also very thirsty for fresh water--do bring along a used bottled water, have fun, and help out a poor donkey.  Another cruise passenger brought off an apple from the ship and fed the donkeys that (I don't advise that, but the donkey ate the evidence).

In San Juan we had construction on Paseo de la Princesa, and had to reroute our walk by a lot.  I hope others find that out sooner.

Found out (fortunately not the hard way) that renting a car in Amber Cove is a bad idea!   We got a private cab driver for the day for only 20 bucks more than to rent a car.  Also heard that the ships' waterfall tours there are making you pay cash for lockers to hold your stuff.  And that Carnival/Princess are not letting you make one jump in the water, whereas independents were allowed to.

In Grand Turk, I'm renting a scooter. $60 for the entire day and I'm going to drive around the entire area and explore. Tony's Rentals has the scooters right outside the port gate.

Isn't that the entire point of the waterfalls tour? You are supposed to be able to jump or slide into each river area. No point in climbing up and not being able to jump in. The Princess website also states that no cameras are allowed and that is not true for private tours. The ship tours take you to 7 different swim areas where private tours do 12 or even 28 jumps/slides with the tour by Iguana Mama. The Iguana Mama tour also includes lunch where the Princess tour does not for basically the same price.

Just to be safe I used the CVS system to find it.  Turns out they are different whether it's Pfizer or Moderna.  Our local CVS only does Pfizer.  We had to go to a Target that has a CVS in it for the Moderna.  The pharmacy there told us it is to avoid confusion.

While we were there we got the Shingles vax.  Arm is killing me.

From the CDC, COVID-19 boosters are the same ingredients (formulation) as the current COVID-19 vaccines. However, in the case of a Moderna COVID-19 vaccine booster, the dose is half of the amount of the vaccine people get for their primary series.  Link to CDC Info, Click Here

If they have the vaccine for the 1st booster, then they have it for the 2nd since it is exactly the same vaccine.

More likely is their computer system is not updated to allow 2nd booster info to be added.

Exactly. the boosters are just 1/2 doses of the original vaccine.

I'm thinking/speculating that all the plumbing problems are a result of a lot of people using the supposed flushable sanitizer wipes.    I have no proof, but it's my suspicion.

Nothing is supposed to go in the toilet except for human waste and toilet tissue. No wipes, facial tissue, or tampons. People flushing these items can cause problems for themselves and others on their deck. Please don't do it.

Curious about the same thing as #46. Will be there in August.

Iguana Mama tours is doing the full 27 waterfalls tours right now, She said it all depends on how much rain fall. Her tour company is the only one that does all the waterfalls. The ship tours typically do the last 7 waterfalls/swimming areas.
