  1. Ok I’m going to give the answer to the what if scenario. My son was ten months old and we went on a family cruise to Bermuda. Because we cruise yearly we got him a passport. He had always been healthy but had his first bout with bronchiolitis in Bermuda. The ships doctor decided he was too unstable to come home on the ship. We were rushed to the hospital and after a few hours we were cleared to leave the hospital, but they said to wait at least 24 hours before flying home. This was Friday about 7 pm. One thing to know is Bermuda is a very expensive island. Because we had passports we were able to fly home on Sunday. If we didn’t have it, it would have been at least two more days of missed work and extra bills. Turns out it was $100 well spent.

  2. Hi. We are going on our fourth cruise with AOTS this summer. They make everything so much easier. We are platinum on NCL and still found it easier being with AotS. From expedited boarding to private times at all the venues, there’s not enough the staff can do for you.

When you ask my barely verbal eight year old about cruising his first comment is always “Team orange”. They wear bright orange t-shirts.

Any specific questions feel free to ask.

  3. Wow I am so glad that I didn't know this prior to our cruise last year. I would have spent the whole first afternoon worrying that we wouldn't go past Liberty.

That being said I seem to remember it wasn't much more of half an hour before we went past her and maybe enough half an hour before we under the bridge.

We were late sitting so we were not too worried about the time.

  4. My son took his first cruise at 10 months old, he's now eight and platinum. Yes you have to bring all of your supplies with you, but it is nice to have someone cook and clean for you. Also the crew loves babies. Just know it will be different. On our cruise we went to Bermuda and being New Yorkers we were used to taking him on a bus with no car seat so we used an ergo. Depending what islands I would look into transportation options.
