You will love it! The cruise director is amazing and so many fun activities are scheduled. I sailed on it in 2003 when it first came out, and now 11 years later, and it still looks brand new.

Yes, prices have increased a lot in the last 2 weeks. I'm looking to go on another cruise since I got a great deal on my 7 day Glory cruise that I sailed on 2 weeks ago.
-
I was on the Glory the week of June 28th, and it was only 2 soaps. I have been cruising since 2002, and have they cut down.
-
Great review! I was on the Liberty in March and on the Glory the week of June 28th, and the burrito bar was always empty during lunch time. I ate there every day. The most was 3 people ahead of me. So sorry that it was so full during your cruise.

Drink lots of water(selzer sparkling water prevents water retention)
3 egg whites(boiled or make it in a pan with Olive oil Pam cooking spray and one yolk)
Plain oatmeal make it with cinnamon.
To get lean quick, eat tilapia and chicken breast(season with lemon and black pepper, onions and garlic.
Sweet potatoes. romaine lettuce(no dressing)
Most importantly train at the gym with weights and do cardio.

I was on the Carnival Glory 4th of July week, and they provided a lot of activities on port days if you didn't get off. I'm sorry that the Legend didn't.

I had a cruise coming up, and my PVP wouldn't return my calls or emails. It was to book another cruise.
I called another PVP, and booked other cruise with them instead. I then emailed my PVP from my mother's email address stating that I wanted to book a cruise. She called in less than 5 minutes. I told her who I was, and I had been calling for days not about my booking with her but to book another cruise and wouldn't return my calls, and that she was too late because I booked my cruise with another PVP.

I completely agree with all of you, but the men looked more dressed up with their polos and cargo shorts than some of the women wearing sun dresses that you would wear over your bathing suit.

I just got off the Glory yesterday. So many people were turned down at dinner, and asked to go change. On the first night a teenager in front of me was sent back because he was wearing a sleeveless jersey. On formal night a lot of men were sent back because they were wearing dressy short cargos with polo shirts. They want long pants to be worn on formal night.
In my 18 cruises, I have never seen anyone being turned down at the dining room. The worst part was the way they spoke to and addressed the teenager with the sleeveless jersey.

Have a great time! I always love your reviews! I leave in 3 days on the Glory. I always book at the last minute since I live 30 away from the Port of Miami.
My favorite 3 words:
Booked a cruise

I have taken my nephew on 7 cruises, and I always have a notarized letter. Carnival has never asked for it maybe because we have the same last name. In Cozumel, they have asked for it several times. Also, last year while debarking the ship back in Miami, a customs agent searched all of our bags, and asked for the notarized letter and looked at it in detail.

I have sailed on most of their ships that have sailed out of Miami in the last 12 years. I love all of them, but my all time favorite is the Valor due to the American Theme decor. I love it! I have sailed on Imagination, Glory, Fascination, Victory, Triumph, Valor, Breeze, Liberty, and Destiny. I have sailed on most of these 3 times.

If you are looking for deals and want to try something new, check out the MSC Divina out of Miami. They have some great deals going on right now.
Thanks so much! I will! My coworkers got a great deal during spring break, but I had already booked the Carnival Liberty. We're teachers so we can cruise during vacation times when the prices are higher, on Spring break(which by the way all lines had great deals this year) Christmas, Thanksgiving , and summer vacation(Carnival is having great deals. The lowest I have paid during the summer) I just booked the Glory leaving in 10 days.
-
I'm waitlisted for anytime dining. In the meantime I'm in assigned dining. I just booked it 2 days ago, and my cruise is in 10 days.
-
Save your money! You will get plenty of sun on your cruise. I get spray tanned for fitness competitions, and after a few days, your skin is super dry, and the spray tan a mess and hard to come off.

When I sailed on the Liberty in March out of Miami, we didn't sail until 7pm They said that we had a water shortage.

I love all of the comparisons between both lines. Thanks, everyone for all of the great information.
I have been on 19 cruises. 18 of those have been on Carnival and 1 on NCL.
I would love to sail on other lines, but always end up on Carnival because I find the best deals with them.
I live 30 minutes away from the Port of Miami. I was looking for a weekend cruise. That weekend, NCL had the 3 day for $99 for an inside, and $150 for a balcony. We chose the balcony cabin.
I found both cruise lines very similar. I loved them both equally. The only difference that I found was that the buffet had less choices than Carnival. Keep in mind that the Sky is one of their smaller ships. The food in the main dining room was delicious. We never had to wait.

I'm booking tomorrow, and am also deciding between the two. I have sailed on both, and like the Breeze better because it is a new ship. I will probably end up booking the Glory because of the itinerary.

Three months until your cruise is about twleve weeks. If you lose a pound or two pounds a week that is twelve to twenty-four pounds, roughly one to two dress sizes. If you need to lose a lot more than that, it might require an effort that is too rigid and even bad for your health and well-being.
Is all the three month effort worth it for one dress size? Or can you resonably sustain the sacrifice in diet and exercize for twelve weeks in order to lose two dress sizes which is more noticeable? Remember strangers won't know how much you lost and probably won't care.
My own philosophy is to eat and exercize in a manner that is healthy and sustainable for life and not try to go to extremes to attain some ideal for a special event.
Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best of luck with your plan and have a wonderful cruise regardless of what you weigh when you sail.
I completely agree with you. The best way is to eat balanced meals, and to lose weight in a healthy manner; no more than 2 pounds a week. Do not go on fad diets because they eliminate food groups.

Great tips! I don't like alcohol so I always drink water. I don't eat fried foods, but I eat desserts on the ship. I also train at the gym everyday on the ship and take the stairs.
-
Congratulations! The Breeze is a beautiful ship! All of you will love it!
-
You will love it! It is absolutely beautiful!
-
No, I have never missed the ship. I get so paranoid that I'm always back on board 2 hours before it leaves each port of call.

So glad that you had a great cruise, but so sorry that it had to end. You have to cook your own meals now. :(

There is a paddle boarding excursion in Grand Turk. Book it as soon as you can because when I went to book it, it was sold out.
