Thanks for the replies.  Once I'm there, I'll see if it makes sense to bring the bulbs back with me or to have them shipped.  The point about the April bulbs being from last year is well taken and something I hadn't really considered.

I am going on a "Tulip Time" cruise leaving Amsterdam on April 3rd.  I think that we are allowed to bring a small amount of bulbs back to the US if they have a required certificate.  Just wondered if anyone had ever done that and was the process difficult.  Did you have any success in planting the bulbs?  Seems a shame to go to Holland for Tulip time and not bring back some tulips.  Thanks for any insight.

There are three of us that will be arriving on HAL Volendam on Dec. 30th and 31st in Laem Chabang. We are looking for a 2 day overnight tour that will show us Bangkok and the night markets. We have made inquiries to Shore Excursion Asia but have concerns with their 100% pre-payment requirement and their cancellation policy. We have also looked at Travel Authentic Asia but they don't offer a tour of the night market. We are fine with the hotel being included in the tour price or if we have to book our own hotel, that is fine too.

Any tour company recommendations would be appreciated.

Has anyone used Bangkok Day Tours recently? We are interested in the 2 day tour that sees the tigers, elephants and then overnight stay at the Royal River Kwai Resort. The second day goes to the Grand Palace. Has anyone taken this tour? Has anyone stayed at this resort?

If you haven't taken this particular tour but have visited the tigers and elephants, I would be interested in your thoughts.

Chives, can I ask how much? I have no idea what the cost is and that is what most people are wanting to know before signing up. Sigh. I have still heard nothing. :( I will keep trying. Anyone think 1 e-mail a week is too much?

I did finally hear back from them and they have offered a 15 person minivan with guide for 8 hours. We are going to book that tour but I haven't received a confirmation. I emailed to accept back on 2/25. I sent another email asking for confirmation today. Hopefully the silence is just due to the Winter season.

I am part of a group of 10 adults who want to take the Path of Trolls when we are in Alesund in July. I've looked through the various threads and most people seem to be renting a car. We do not want to do that and would prefer a private tour. I have emailed Moereguide about a tour and have not received a response. Does anyone know of other tour companies I could contact about the path of trolls tour?

We will be taking a cruise in July that begins and ends in Copenhagen. We have been to Copenhagen previously and did the HOHO bus and Tivoli. This time, we would like to see the castles that are outside the city, Kronborg Castle and Frederiksborg Castle. We are staying one night before and one night after the cruise. Before the cruise, we plan to see the City sights again. However, we get back from the cruise to Copenhagen at 7:00 am. I believe that once we disembark and drop our luggage at the hotel, we could be ready to go around 10:00. If we left Copenhagen around 10:00 am., is that enough time to see and experience both castles? Is public transportation an easy and straightforward option for visiting both castles or would you suggest lining up a private tour? If private tour, please let me know who you would suggest?

A group of us (around 8 people) will be on a cruise in July that takes us to Isafjordur and Reykjavik, Iceland. We are fortunate to have nearly 2 days in Reykjavic in that we arrive at 8 am and leave at 5:00 pm the next day. We want to do the Golden Circle Tour, the Blue Lagoon and see the City sights. Trying to decide which day to do what. It seems that the Golden Circle tour takes around 8 hours, so I believe we would need to do that tour the first day. Since we leave at 5:00 the second day, will we have enough time to do the Blue Lagoon and see the city? How long do people usually stay at the Blue Lagoon? Any suggestions for tour operators for these sights would be appreciated.

We went to La Goulette last summer while on the Nieuw Amsterdam.

 

A group of us from Cruise Critic booked a private tour and really enjoyed it.

I am going to be on the Noordam in July and we are supposed to stop in La Goulette. I would like to book a private tour. Could you please let me know who you booked the tour through and where you visitied on the tour?
