  1. We are returning to port at 5 AM on The Carnival Horizon April 29. Our flight is at 11:00 AM? Should we be okay to make flight? That's pretty much an only option for United, unless we stay over another night. We planned on doing two nights pre-cruise in Barcelona. We have no idea of traffic, customs, airport security, as this will be our first time in Barcelona. Any help will be appreciated.

  2. I presently have a reservation at Dreams LaRomana. I've seen on some past post they require you to leave some form of ID with them when you check in for your day pass. This form of ID, looks like it could be anything from your Sign and Sail to Passport or DL. I'm not really fond of the idea of leaving any form of my ID at a foreign port, which is required for entry back on the ship. For those of you that have been to Dreams lately, is this information accurate? Thanks.

  3. Closest airport to Port of Galveston is Houston Hobby. IAH is on the other side of Houston. You may consider staying in Texas City, about 10-15 min from Houston Hobby, and about 20 minutes from Galveston. You may consider using UBER. I've never used them but my niece uses them a lot and always had good luck with them. If staying a night pre-cruise, Texas City will be less expensive than Galveston, huge outlet mall, plenty of restaurants around.

  4. We are on The Legend in July. We have booked Harv and Marv's in Juneau, Bearing Sea in Ketchikan, Rented a jeep from Alaska Green Jeeps in Skagway, and booked the tour through Tracy Fjord. All are recommendations from a friend that took this itinerary last year. Looking forward to them.

  5. I've been on both. In my opinion, The Breeze would be my choice. It's my favorite ship in the fleet! Beautiful ship! We went on The Freedom last Oct., ship although recently renovated is still in need of some updating. The crew was spectacular though, with some of the best we've ever had. Hospitality was great!

  6. We purchased a Carnival e-gift card through Carnival.com back in May, 2015 for a friend with a value of $100. We just got back from a cruise they took with us on The Carnival Freedom. The person we gave the card to tried to redeem her $100 to be used on her sign and sail card. She was told it had been used on a prior date. This was not the case, so we both feel terrible --$100 purchased, and her gift was void. We went to guest services, they gave us a toll number to call when we returned. I will call and check on this tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone else had this issue. It will teach us never to gift an e-card for Carnival or any other method for one. I think it was terrible to just be told it has no balance and given no other explanation. Has anyone else had this issue with e-cards?

  7. Looking at maybe doing the dolphin encounter at Balmoral Island in Nassau. We've been to Nassau a few times and are looking for something different to do. There's one in our group that would like to also like to snorkel while we are there. We are in port from 7-5, so we really would like to find an excursion rather than walking around the area. We have done Atlantis before, and we are not interested in spending that much again. Any thoughts or experiences with this excursion will be appreciated. It is through Carnival shore excursions and lasts 4 1/2 hours.

  8. We are thinking about doing this excursion. Has anyone out there done it, and what are you thoughts or suggestions about this excursion? Looking for something different to do in Freeport. There's really not much to offer in this port. We have done jeep adventure and boat/shopping excursion before.

  9. I would call. Once, I had called to have a price reduction, and I had booked the original booking on a reduced deposit sale. The agent failed to tell me that I should have applied the additional amount of deposit. I looked a couple of days later to see if rate and booking had been handled correctly. I got the same message you are getting. My booking had been canceled. Fortunately, it was caught in time to get my original cabin back and the reservation was reinstated. I would definitely call to make sure my cruise had not been canceled. It was a lesson learned for me, and I now understand the complete rules of price reductions.
