following.  i have a november cruise and options are north low, south lot, pier 14 lot and north premium lot (covered).  seems like the latter will be closest to the new terminal but not sure.

am i a wuss for thinking i've already missed out since i havent' received an email yet?!

if you're leaving from frisco, keep in mind how much further past houston that galveston is....it's a solid 4.5 - 5 hour drive for us from the mid cities depending on wacky i-45 can be

At the CC M&M last week, the staff member stated that they were waiting on a specific part from the manufacturer (and I believe the person approved to install/modify). I think they said it was coming from Finland. That may be why you don't see much work done during the week.

Regardless, it will be up and running at some point, imo...and I suspect it will be fun once calibrated correctly. The CD said it was pretty intense the one time she did it.

Thanks for the feedback all. Was considering a JS to get the points to move to diamond after cruise and realize the other benefits of a JS. Doesn't sound worth it for $1,000 though

If you are in a suite and arrive around 1 - 3 pm, can you walk past the long line of those waiting outside the building, go right into the terminal, and get into the appropriate check-in line?

I don't think there's much of a line around that time Jim.

For the RCI terminal at Galveston, what status gets you priority boarding? Diamond, platinum, etc.

there are enough people there to assist that you really have nothing to be anxious about. they will direct you, and you'll be fine.

my only advice is get there early.

to make this a little more apples to apples, let me instead ask if oasis is 25% better than independence?

that takes the port difference out of the discussion...again, been on multiple voyager and freedom class, just no oasis class.

Hello all,

We are considering Oasis or Navigator for this summer.

I've never been on Oasis class but been on Freedom class and the refurbished Navigator.

From a price and experience perspective, can anyone who has been in a similar situation tell me if the Oasis is worth the additional cost (in this case 25%)? Cruising with family; 3 kids, ages 3 - 11.

The actual departure ports are inconsequential at this point.
