  1. Mr. Fun,

Do you bring bottled water onboard? Can you check if they are still allowing it to be carried on?

We have always taken some on in the past, but there have been a few reports of some being denied. We won't bring on a whole case, but maybe 6-8 bottles in my rolling carry on. Also like to bring a few caffeine free diet cokes.

We sail in 10 days, so will be following along to help pass the time this week.

    Thanks for doing this.

I packed waters and my wine allowance, 4 bottles for two rooms in a small rolling luggage and carried it on no problem, they never even opened it to inspect.

  2. Glad you came back, I have been really enjoying your review, thanks for taking the time to share it, I know they can be time consuming, especially with such great details. There is always someone who posts something negative, sorry it upset you! Looking forward to more.

I really like the look of the Breeze, Carnivals decor never bothered me, I don't normally take much notice to it, but found myself noticing it a bit more on our last cruise, it felt very dark. The Breeze looks refreshingly lighter and I just love the beach/carribean tone to it, I'd like to sail her one day!

  3. Pre cruise: Since we live in Charleston and don’t have to travel, our pre-cruise is spent at home finalizing last minute things.

We decided to try our luck at smuggling on a bit of rum. On previous cruises we were successful at buying a 12 pack of water, wriggling a few bottles out of the shrink wrap, filling them with rum and wriggling them back in to the middle. I purchased a meat injector this time and commenced to filling.

And then the injector broke. We attempted to repair it with scotch tape. That definitely didn’t work.

We also used a turkey baster that over time had lost it’s suction.

Next time use a funnel (but not with water bottles as you found out), you can find one at any dollar store or walmart, much quicker I guarantee! ;)

  4. The other girls caught some sun on deck but I had enough of the sun the day before! Which reminds me: how is it that I am an extreme overpacker and remember everything except the aloe gel???? I ended up paying...hurts to even say it...$13 for a bottle of aloe gel with lidocaine in the gift shop. It seems to be the one item I always forget and always need because when I got home and put it away, I found the other 5 partially used bottles from other trips/cruises, lol!

I have done the same thing, now I have a travel size aloe that I keep packed in my toiletry kit so I cant forget it anymore! Nice review, good times, thanks for sharing!

And you look lovely as snow white btw!

  5. Chef's table

It was close to 10 p.m when we finished and we returned to our room. The two bottles of liquor that had been seized were not in our room. I called housekeeping and I was told they came at 8.00 p.m and no one was there to sign for it.

They told me it would be there soon. At 11:30 p.m I called again explaining we wanted to go to bed and was told again it would be there soon. They woke us up at around 1:30 a.m, not happy but not going to let little things put a damper on our vacation.

This happened to us on our last sailing, wasnt happy as I waited up until it was delivered. Luckily on the 2nd call we received our purchase in about 10 minutes. I hope you sent them a letter asking them to address this. I sent them a nice note telling them about all the goods, but also noted that this area needs improvement.

    Enjoying your review!

  6. I have it, I like it, used it for our last cruise, cruised for about $150 plus on board expenses. The program is much better now then it used to be, very simple to use and redeem points. I like that the points are dollar for dollar, other cards I have are not, its less. I like that I just received double points for the purchases I made for the cruise and on the cruise as well.

  7. It is called Shipwreck beach it is just a small restarant and bar but they have a number of chairs and umbrellas and usually don't charge for them..... especially if you buy anything from them. I think it is just a little farther up the island from Cockleshell.... When you go south and get to the point in the island where the Atlantic side and the Caribbean side are really close together.... Shipwreck is there just before you go up the hill on your right hand side.

Both of these pics are of the same place. Just past the pond on the right hand side there is a small dirt road that leads to the beach. All the Taxi drivers know where it is. It cost us about $6 per person to go there.

Incredible view, doing a great job with your first review, thanks for sharing!

  8. Janet Evanovich 's number series books are AMAZING...Funny yet your still trying to figure out how its all going to end. Saving "Fearless Fourteen" for the cruise. She also has "between the numbers" books

O gosh, I love her books, I literally laugh out loud when I read her series books. I am from NY, so I can totally picture and hear the characters, the grandmother is a HOOT!
