This is an off-the-wall question, but here goes:
Will be going on a cruise later this year and have completed the on-line Global Entry application and received conditional approval. I don’t live near an airport that has scheduled, in-person final interviews. I know I can complete the in-person process upon re-entry to the U.S. at an approved port of entry.
When I leave the country for the cruise I have a six-hour layover in one of those U.S. airports. I’m wondering if I can look up the CBP place there and put that waiting time to good use. Has anyone done this before?

Would not be thanked by any Southampton fan but if they are not playing or you couldn't get a ticket then there bitter rivals Portsmouth if at home will almost certainly be playing at 3:00 on the Saturday and will have tickets all be it to watch football at a 2 league lower standard
Thanks, Dave. You answered my question in your first paragraph as that weekend of no Premier League games would be the time we're there. So I'll have to check with Portsmouth as an alternative.

Going to be leaving from Southampton, UK on a cruise late September. The fixtures are due to be announced this week for the coming year and I’ve heard it can be difficult to get individual tickets to matches if you’re not a member of a supporters club. Any advice on the best way to buy a couple of tickets for a single game there?

Forgive me if this question has been asked. Couldn’t find it in search.
Flying out of Miami to UK in November (we hope!) to catch a transatlantic cruise returning to Miami.
Looking for advice on whether to park at port for easy getaway, or park at airport for easy departure. Either way I’d assume Uber to other location is available? If airport parking appreciate any advice on best options.

Just got off the 4 night QV cruise. I'm curious whether it's standard practice for Cunard to have bagels available at breakfast but no cream cheese? I know this sounds like like a small thing, but I found it odd.
Now maybe there was cream cheese available, but the servers I asked didn't know. We found a lot of the crew fairly clueless about simple things like directions and what was available. Many of them were new aboard too.

Small issue, but one I noted to be true of several fellow cruisers I talked with last week: TV volume is set ridiculously low. We had ours set up to about 50 - 60 to hear, and we don't have a hearing problem. And when you turn it off it defaults to a lower volume, so you end up having to hold the volume button down for about 10 seconds each time.

We were on an Oceania cruise in March and it was less than 100 steps from our car to the terminal. As another poster said there are several garages, so I can't guarantee that yours is that close, but it's extremely convenient, safe and the advantage of disembarking and being on the road in less than 10 minutes can't be beat.

I've heard a lot about Waze over the years, but have never tried it. How's the data usage on that app? Do you notice it uses a lot? I'm on a family plan with three other members of my family, so we share data. They tend to be data hogs and I end up with the leftovers, so I have to keep an eye on my usage.
If I remember correctly, taking I-95 to Ft. Lauderdale last year instead of the turnpike tacked on an additional 30 minutes of drive time and about 30 miles more. That half hour didn't bother us and the extra $2-3 in gas was better than $20+ in tolls. I didn't find I-95 to be as hectic as some here make it out to be. Not in the least. Well, that is until we got to Ft. Lauderdale.
The last two times we went through Atlanta, it was around noon (we took the 285 bypass) and about 2pm (took 75 straight through). Both times were gridlock. I can see your point about going through at night, but we leave from the St. Louis area and I like to leave in the morning, so it doesn't time out to going through there at night.
I just checked my Waze app usage. Used it from Virginia to Miami and back and it shows 600 MB used, but that without having reset it in I don't know how long, so it's actually much less than that.
I've not actually used Waze for navigation but for reports on police and blockages. For directions I use Google Maps. I like it because it will suggest alternate routes if there's a slow down. Don't know if Waze does that. Google Maps doesn't use a lot of data either.

Don't recall exactly, but when you enter the port you will be directed by signage. The one we went out of was all the way at the end of the road. Thought we were going to have to circle around again but then saw the ship.

We returned from an Oceania cruise last month. I followed all the posts on this site related to parking and ended up parking right at the port. It cost a bit more than the discount lots, but it was so easy to just walk to the ship with our luggage and even easier to leave at the end of the cruise. It seemed that each of the discount lots had detractors and I just felt our car was more secure at the port garage.

It's better to be prepared and enjoy the cruise then be ill and see only the inside of our cabin.
Just some advice from 27 years in the Navy - if you do get queasy you don't want to stay inside. You want to get out where you can see the horizon since that's part of the disorientation that's causing the illness.
Of course, none of my Navy ships ever had never-ending food stations everywhere you looked topside, so maybe my advice won't work as well on a cruise ship! 8-)

Much of what you post here is not supported by facts. Please cite the source for your statements.
I view that discrepancy with the in-and-out of Alexandria to be a typo on the part of some scrambling Oceania employee trying to update the web page before they took it down for a previously announced update.
