As usual I'm late, but I still have to say that I also enjoyed your review, your style, and the laughter it prompted. Thanks for posting it!

For one night 3/27:

Started $125 Resort in SJ, rejected

Added Condado, rejected

Added 3* & got the Normandie for total $156 after fees & taxes

Closest we came to that $125 rate outside of Priceline was Coral By The Sea at $108 before fees & taxes so we're feeling good :cool: and hoping for zero cockroaches. :eek:

Earl, About 190% but I still thought it was a great deal for this cruise and that with 16 days total, I'd sure like to have my own space but still looking out on the ocean. The idea of listening to the ocean at night is also really appealing.

I just booked 16 days on HAL, couldn't resist getting a balcony cabin, and was thinking I might try to offset the additional cost by finding a roommate. I'm thinking you all cured me of that! Better to scrimp elsewhere than have uncomfortable moments in my own dream cabin on my own dream trip.
