  1. It sounds like you are looking at Eastern Caribbean Cruise. My friend and I swam with sharks at a rescue center on Roatan. It was on an island that's called Maya Key. I don't know if it has changed since 2014.

  2.

Wow, is the water really that blue here? I thought it was only like that in the Caribbean and Bermuda.

Lake Michigan really is that color during the summer. It feels like Key West water in the Midwest. The color of the water changes depending upon the weather and season. It becomes a ugly grey during storms and late fall through winter. It can also be a pretty light blue. One of the reasons I like living near Chicago. :)

  3. I still have no clue what photo is upsetting some people. The nerve of people to steal your door ornament and use it for theirs. Someone stole the beads from my door in Feb. on the Jewel. Took it on the last night. Oh well, my best friend and I got a lot more from the parades afterwards. :D I love the pics of Blue Kay. You did not help my craving for a warm place. Blue Kay looks much better than Maya Chan for the room and clarity of water. Definite hidden treasure, well not for much longer though.

  4. I did email him and asked if he would include a solo cruiser on his tours. I have not heard back from him. I sent my email over 2 weeks ago. So far, I'm not having luck with finding something for Jamaica. :(

  5. I have better luck with butlers than the concierge. My best friend and I sailed on the Jewel in mid Feb. I think we had Theodore. He was the best. My best friend always felt guilty asking for anything. It was her first cruise and first time having people help her. I love NCL for their suite perks. I am an aft balcony lover. Although I still feel weird having someone carry my backpack. :o I will miss the suite perks on the Epic next Feb. I am trying a studio.

  6. I read through all 19 pages of this thread last night and today. :o Definitely an interesting mix of one post review members and more experienced members. It seems like he caters to families and groups. I will be traveling by myself as usual. Plus I see links for two different email addresses and two different websites. I just wonder if I should even bother contacting him. I like the variety he offers. I have excursions planned for Cozumel and Cayman Islands already.

  7. Cold front came through and made snorkeling along the reef impossible. They had free wifi, good beer, cabanas, great service. My best friend went kayaking. I had a strained leg muscle from climbing Mayan ruins in Belize. The staff made a birthday cake for me. We did miss the initial pick up. But cab took us out there and they took care of the fares. Lunch was good and small buffet style. It was definitely not crowded. Plenty of people but not packed like sardines. There is development around them. I enjoyed the place.
