  1. We booked 3 rooms in Feb for a cruise in Nov out of Charleston. We were put on a waitlist for early dining. Why will Carnival not confirm a meal time this far in advance. I booked a cruise for May 2017 and Nov 2017 and both of those early dining were confirmed. Carnival says to call 2 weeks before we depart and they will try to get us early dining!

How of Charleston they say you have to request the time you want to board. We did that for this Nov cruise but the booking in May 2017 will not allow this. I called Carnival and they said it wasn't setup yet. What gives. If they are going to do these programs should you not be able to do it at time of booking?

  2. It seems everything has been covered to what to take. For me, I typed up a packing list and check each item off that I pack. The last thing on my list is to cut water off and pull hot water circuit breaker. Don't want a surprise when I get home.

The only other thing to bring is:

    A good ATTITUDE

    Tolerance

and a BIG OLE SMILE. You are cruising.

    Have a great trip.

  3. I think the time has come for Carnival, for that matter all cruiselines, to realize the attraction of a smokefree trip. Yes, it's been tried before. 20 years ago?? Raise the price a fair amount to compensate the Urban Myth of Bar and Casino Loss. Maybe their profit margin is so thin they can't afford to experiment. I'd be willing to go and try Carnival again. I would be in the Casino nightly, now on Carnival it's zero. I also understand they are experimenting with the smoke eaters but at what expense will it be? I also realize this is one of those touchy subjects but perhaps a civil discussion can happen. I am not in a smoke environment in my daily life so my expectations are to enjoy a smokefree vacation. In trade I would be willing to give up twice a day cleaning, chocolates on my pillow and tablecloths. But I draw the line at losing shrimp cocktail.

Don't forget no liquor on this cruise.
