  1. No, you cannot receive any funds from your account.

On our recent cruise we had purchased $1,000 OBC each in the form of gifts because Princess was offering an exchange at only 10% at the time and our Canadian dollar exchange was quite a bit more.

Towards the end of the cruise we still had a few hundred each leftover so we asked if we could cash some out so that we could fill tip envelopes.

This cannot be done, monies cannot be refunded until the cruise is over and then what they determine is yours, and not unrefundable OBC, they will send a cheque or pay it back onto your Credit Card.

We needed the money for the envelopes so I just went to the casino, opened a casino account, placed the amount of money still on board in the account into my gaming account, pulled a few slots (didn't win!) and cashed out. I then decided to do this to cash out both of our accounts the night before disembarkation.

  2. When sharing large files and photos, instead of emailing them just place them in MICROSOFT OneDrive and share the link to the photos. If you have a hotmail or Live account you have OneDrive.

I don't think I have that available but thank you so much!

We were able to connect and send the photos. 😄

  3. Darn....I they didn't come through on my end. The file must be too large. I don't know if you can "zip" the file. I'm not very tech savvy. Or if you have the option of reducing the message size by scaling the image to a "small" size.

Thanks for trying anyway, Deb, and thanks for the blog link. I'm anxious to read it!

Jan, I just tried to post a photo on my thread with my blog. I hope you can get it there. Let's see if it works...

  4. Found your blog and how wonderful it is. The photos and writing about the cruise just great.

My husband and I was on the cruise, but with this reading doesn't seem like it is the same one. Everyone does many different things. I think I did see you when you talked at the luncheon.

It was such a large CC that really didn't get to know who was who after all the months of posting.

Thank you. Yes, it was hard keeping track of everyone and putting faces to so many names.

I love comparing tours and views of the ship with everyone. I can't wait to read more reviews. It's nice to know we have other options for the same ports if we decide to do this cruise again in 2017. :)

  5. sorry for barging in but what cruise is this? I have been searching for quite a few days looking for a 2017 West Coast R/T to Hawaii and the South Pacific . I thought Princess was the line but cannot find. any help would be appreciated,

This was a 28 day round trip from L.A. It will be repeated again in 2016 and 2017.

It hasn't opened up for booking as of yet for 2017.

  6. More tips: We did purchase Future Cruise Credits on board for our next Princess holiday, which is always a good idea if you have any intention of cruising with their line again. It gives you added on board credit and a reduced deposit for your next cruise. For $100.00 you can't go wrong. They must be used for a booking, within two years.

We haven't decided yet on our next adventure, but another tip: the big Princess sale comes up in June and there are usually a few more added perks as well. ;)

  7. San Diego Sue. Of course! That's why our tour was so compressed with only our 1/2 hour at the beach and 5 minutes at the falls....our ship arrived later. I hadn't even thought about that. So we had a shorter tour than was promised and still no refund of a portion. So glad you reminded me of that because for some reason, I had forgotten all about our later arrival due to the warm water engine problems. So funny that this completely slipped my mind. I must have been so relaxed and chillin that it didn't bother me at all at the time! 😊

I sent off just an email to you with no photos to see if it went through. If you didn't get that then I either have the wrong email or it's going into another one of your files because it tells me it's been delivered. Check again for the latest email sent this morning.

  10. We are just off of the 28 day Crown Princess sailing to Hawaii and the South Pacific. I usually do a travel site for friends and family when I return but decided to add to it and extend it to the C.C. boards instead of doing a review.

This link will take you to the Shutterfly site where I have posted a few pics and views on the Islands, tours and ship.

I hope that you will find some of this useful if you are planning on doing this cruise or any of these islands. It was a splendid holiday and a wonderful cruise.

  11. Debathome - I read your "blog" from your link. Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. Except of course that excursion that went sooo wrong! At the end you said you would not recommend this tour company (I believe it!) however, unless I missed it, there was no mention of who the company was. I'd be interested to know because we might be taking this cruise next year.

Don't get me wrong, other people on this tour, in the first busses, did enjoy this and the beach was lovely, but I know that many on our bus did not. It was rushed through the last few stops and was just handled poorly. I think you could find a better tour or just grab a taxi and take it to the beach. The church was a short walk from the port and the only other thing worth seeing was the falls.

Having said that, from personal experience, I can't recommend it. It was the Samoan Scenic Apia tour with Shaddow.

It gets good reviews on the other sites, I think it was just too large a group for them to handle.

  12. Harry, we were also part of this roll call and I am enjoying comparing notes on this cruise and tours.

We were so sorry that we didn't take advantage of the Nut Factory shipping suggestion. The cookies were so good and would have made great gifts for everyone back home. They were have made it here before we did!

I'm also from across the shore in Toronto. We saw a sprinkling of snow this morning on our way back from my kids farm but nothing on the ground here in the city.

Thanks for doing the review. 🌴

  13. Betty asked if you were the two great ladies that sat by us at "22ne Street Landing and ordered and shared different dishes?" She also said to say HI! She is starting to feel better.

    Just Mike

Yes, Judy sat next to Betty and I was next to Judy. Lol, and yes, we often share appetizers and plates. Big hello to her as well. We are happy to hear that she's recovering well.

  14. Thank you everyone for their input on this forum.

    It was a great cruise.

Loved your blog Debbie and enjoyed meeting you and your sister. We were in C742 at the end of your hall. Loved meeting everyone that we did meet. You all were great.

This trip was on our bucket list and we loved it . Some bad experiences with organization but what the heck.

Hope to meet some of you again.

    Dianne and Bill

With so many names, C.C. names, faces and amount of guests, it was hard to keep track! I do remember you. I called you DiddlyDEE and you corrected me! Lol :D so lovely to meet you. Were you one of the lucky ones with the suites at the end?

  15. I sent them to myself and they went through. I forwarded them off to you and they went into my sent file so they should be there. Your email not be able to accept a large file but check your junk mail just in case. It is showing up as delivered.

    Let me know!

  16. We too are home safe and sound but it's taking me a while to get caught up on everything.

Thank you for starting up this thread and for those participating. I didn't have much internet after trying to send out delayed email so didn't have an opportunity to post while on board but I did follow.

It was so great to meet so many of you wonderful folk.

CCRain, I think I saw you the least and you were our next door cabin neighbors! :)

For those of you that I didn't personally see on board, hopefully one day!

We really enjoyed this cruise, the tours, the weather, the staff and crew....

Really not much to complain about at all.

I did do a 'blog' that I tried to keep up on board but because I couldn't access Shutterfly, I couldn't, so I did a lot of copy and pasting when I got home.

Harry, I won't be doing a review but I look forward to those that will. I am interested in hearing about other tours and things done on board so that when I book my next one, I can arrange it around that.

Hoping to do the 2017 one. We are booked for the Med next year at this time for Hubby's retirement but after he's heard all about this one, we may be doing the 2017 sailing.

If anyone is interested in browsing through my long winded notes, I can post the link here.

    https://ourhawaiiansouthpacificholiday.shutterfly.com/

I did take quite a few photos and I do have some with my C.C. folk in them.

Gerry, I am glad that you received yours and I look forward to seeing the one's that you took.

Iobject, let me know if your pics came through

Eyegirl, so nice to be keeping up with your email. I want a pic of our Trivia win!

Adelle, I have some of you that I would like to share if you would drop me an email because I can't seem to access yours. My # can be found on the coordinators list.

JudyGund, I have a funny one of you getting the big smoocheroo from Mr. Bareass but I won't post it here. If you would like it sent to you, let me know.

Sue & Dennis, it was such a great opportunity to chat with you. Thanks for the therapy and conversations. I hope one day you make it to the Intercontinental, it was a lovely hotel.

Myrna and Maureen, so glad to have met you and thank you for sharing your hut with us! Myrna, you kept Jude in stitches. It's been a while since she had a good laugh. I can't thank you enough.

I can't post pictures to C.C. any more. Either my computer or the site won't allow me to copy and paste or to download unless they are little wee things.

Mike and Betty, I am so sorry that we didn't get to spend more time with you but it was truly our pleasure to have met you. Hopefully with Betty's continued recovery, we will see you in 2017!

Honestly, there has never been a more friendly and social group of passengers on board any ship, anywhere.

We had some great conversations and wonderful evenings spent with so many of you. Thank you.

I know we kind of got the reputation as Oh, ....'those Canadian sisters' :D

We wear it with pride! :p
