So sad For all in Barcelona x

Hi just loving your review. My DH and I have done the Carribean many times and have sailed on Equinox and Reflection. So many memories!
Can't do it anymore as my DH has poor health but this is just bringing back many happy days!
Like your style and your Irish roots are coming though. Thanks a lot

I cannot comment on the tenders back to the ship however I live in South Queensferry and would say that you must be very sure on how you are going to return to the ship if you Do the tattoo on your own. There are no taxis at the train station and it's a fair walk. Buses going back from Edinburgh stop at 11.05 pm. Taxis during the festival are busy but you will get one.
If I can help with local info please just ask.

MSC yacht club is fantastic! If the ship is your main priority you can't beat it. I sailed both and for $400 I'd jump at the chance to do the YC experience again.
Look on the MSC board should find some feedback.
I'm not sure that I would do a normal balcony on MSC it's a pretty busy ship overall and lots of kids.

Glad that we have clarification. We are about to book and my DH said its getting too much. I have looked at Viking Ocean and we are very impressed. We've sailed a lot with X tried Hal, RC, MSC but think it's time to change. Even before this mis informed post we were looking elsewhere.

I have been very interested in these posts. We have a home in Florida and live in the UK. Have done many cruises lots on X. There is Something for everyone but the Carribean in summer would kill us. We will do Europe in the summer but may not go with X. The world is changing and its going to be very different year on year.

My husband is a non alcoholic person but found a lot of flavoured waters were available on the premium package. Also very nice daily cocktails.

I lve in South Queensferry and it's very cold today. Below 60 and windy. There is a Princess ship in town today and the passengers walking around are well wrapped up.
Lots of buses taking them to the golf it must have been pretty miserable out there today.

I agree with a lot of what's been said. We would not consider Turkey at the moment but the prices are so good it's worthwhile to book, if Celebrity change the ports it could still be win win.
My DH is really cornered about travel just now so many places not to go. I on the other hand would just wing it.

My Husband and I always cruise celebrity and my sister always Royal but this year she tried the Eclipse. Her feedback was almost identical to what you have written. They did not think the food was as good on X and dined in the speciality restaurants 6/14 days they came home a little disappointed as they thought there would be marked differences but they didn't find any.
thanks for posting as I like feedback from people on what's out there. thinks we will try other lines as the prices on X can sometimes be higher.

We did the TA on Equinox last Nov and I had the premium package my DH the non alcoholic We found that the Martini bar was slow to serve but it was busy. In the dining room on the first night we tipped the Wine Waiter $10 and we got fantastic service, she let me try many wines and filled my glass often.....as soon as we arrived for dinner she was there.
I think that if you let the staff know what you like and how often they do try their best. Keep your package it's really worth it.

Last year we were on both ships and liked them both, in our opinion the food on Equinox was better.
There are a few differences in amenities but that for us is not something which would influence which ship to book, it's food and itinerary every time.

Thanks for the replies, we only paid $1100 pp and as it was a last minute decision feel quite happy with the allocation and very excited that it's only a few weeks away.
We have sailed Reflection but this is our first time on Equinox

Just tried to book extras for our upcoming cruise but got the same message. Glad that cc people post when there is a problem as I always think it's me ! 21.40 UK time

We paid a very low price for our guarantee. Did not expect to be allocated a Sunset Veranda cabin, we have done this before and always found our cabin to be the obstructed views. As we are delighTed with our allocation feels like a very good deal.

My DH and I just booked the Equinox Trannsatlantic 27/10 and took a guarantee veranda. Have just had our room allocation and got a Sunset ! Think we did well? Happy for the price we've paid and now getting excited as this was so unexpected.

I really don't post often but we had this issue a few years ago on a Transatlantic crossing. At Tenerife we had had enough went to guest relations and said we were getting off, out bags were packed and we had complained several times a day. Suddenly a cabin mid ship was given to us.....even although we were told all cabins were full!
It made a huge difference to our cruise but we have not sailed Celebrity since. I don't go on holiday to spend most of my days at guest relations or spend all night awake.
I feel your pain.
