  1. We live in Florida and always drive to the port. I have used off site parking for Tampa, Port Canaveral, and Port Everglades with no hesitation....but when we cruise out of Miami, we always spend the extra money to park at the Port of Miami. To me, it's not worth the hassle and stress. Miami is stressful enough.;p

I agree with this as well, when we sail out of Miami we alway park at the Port of Miami!

  2. We plan on going to Marriott next week when we visit on the Allure. Are there plenty of cabs available to get back to the port ?? I believe we are the only ship in port that day. Was happy to see this thread and get some good info. :)

  3. I would choose an aft facing balcony, one of the corner ones on decks 8 through 11. The corner ones have bigger balconies than the other afts. 8 is above some public areas, so I'd go with 9, 10, or 11. They are next to the "secret stair" area, a large alcove with side facing windows. Unless the mini suite has some fantastic bath and that is important to you, I'd go with the balcony. There are a couple aft facing minis on each deck, but they are all accessible cabins or I would have booked one.

We just switched to a corner aft facing on deck 10 for the Epic in March, thanks for your help and we are looking forward to it...

  4. We just booked a mini suite on the Epic for next spring, my question is do i stick with a mini suite or go for the Aft balcony, price difference is dollars, literally, we have stayed in a mini suite before on the Gem but have never stayed in an Aft Balcony, just curious as far as pros vs cons with both rooms.. Thanks

  5. Good Evening, was curious if anyone had any experiences with the Sea Blaster Snorkel trip, we are going in November and was wondering if my 9 yr old could handle the boat ride, she generally does not get sea sick BUT she has gotten sick on catamaran trips we have been on. Are there a lot of kids on this trip usually ?? Thanks in advance...

  6. We did costa maya a few yrs back before the hurricane hit it, it may be safe but we were not thrilled with it, we did a snorkel tour there which was fine but when we got out of the water we were waiting for a bus to take us back to port and there were a few guys with M-16's watching over us, many, many military folks with rifles in and around the area we were in, I am not saying it is unsafe or safe, just giving our experience there. We have not gone on a itinerary that goes back there since. Just MY opinion for me and my family. I am sure other ppl, love this port but just not for us. At the time we went with with my DD who was 2 and my DS who was 13 at the time. Educate yourself and make your own decision. For what it is worth, we did not SEE anything dangerous or violent while we were there, beaches were beautiful.
