Sure thing, Duncan.  11 a.m. is good for us too, if it’s not too early for you, but except for the slight confusion re some of the forms being in Spanish (referring back to our previous cruise with Pullmantur), our group of 8 will be okay, as we have 3 people in our midst who can help with the transalation and filling in of the forms, and we will not take too long to board.  We will be on board by noon.

Enough time to get together for lunch, some cool drinks, and freshen up before our 3 p.m. tour.

That will also give the staff some very needed time to clean and prepare the ship.

    Liz

Sounds like a plan... and both Paulo and I can help with the translation. We are staying in the same hotel as Duncan so we will head to the port at the same time

Stay warm Liz & Maria,I see it's minus 15 in Toronto today..We have  30 C here all week.

    Only 5 weeks to go.

We are having  quite the freeze... right now it's -18C but with the windchill factor it's in the minus thirties.... we could use a few of your +C degrees.

    BRRRRRRR...

    Hi Maria.

Hope you had a great cruise,WiFi was for sale on Pullmantur website & then they took it off.

There are  some  extra shore excursions added too...nothing to exciting.

thanks Duncan...we had a nice rest and now back to "reality" and very cold temperatures.... you could send some of the heat wave you are getting over this way ...lol... honestly I have never had that much trouble getting to or checking a cruiseline website.... Yes, they had the special on for the wifi and when I tried to book it, it disappeared !!! I just thought I would check again but i can't even get to their website....

  4. Welcome to the boards Rod & Jill...

Can anyone please tell me how to get to the Pullman website... I wanted to see their prices for wifi etc. and I can't seem to be able to get to it.... I tried over a month ago and was able to find it ... now I forgot how to ... somehow I keep getting redirected to other websites selling Pullman cruises.....

    Thanks Maria,,

I'm getting some quotes for Athens cruise port to Airport with 90 min visit to Acropolis.

We have a 2.30pm flight,Pullmantur tour with airport drop off is for flights after 3.00pm.

    Cost $80 p/p.

We have to stay overnight in Athens ( already booked a hotel ) because  there aren't direct flights from Athens to Toronto.... we fly to Frankfurt early the next morning to catch a flight to Toronto.

We are getting a quote from ABC Tours for a full day tour to Abudabi probably on the 7th ...also getting quotes on four other excursions...and once I hear back from them I’ll book Their prices on their website seem very reasonable.

Cruiserdotcom, Word of caution, Friday mornings some places won’t be open.

Duncan, I’m pretty sure we’ll be booking the Mystic Muscat tour you booked with Pullmantur, and the other private Dow cruise through the fjords.  Petra is dealt with and confirmed with you guys.

    Liz

Liz & Duncan...just booked the Muscat Mystic with Pullman ... and we will be "in" for the Dow cruise through the fjords as well.

    Hi Liz,

Welcome aboard,I had a look at Khasab local tours, the boat trip did look better and price is great $30.

I see the lower deck had higher seating if Peter needs to sit upright, looks like a fun trip....reminds me of those Asian junk boats.

Gee... I also had quite  a time trying to find stuff on Pullman.... right now I am trying to figure out flights to come home after the cruise ends in Athens.... no direct flights coming home.... and some "choices" have way too many connecting points ...

We haven't looked much into tours yet,but Pullmantur Mystic Muscat tour $41 is one that my wife & I  will be doing for sure and I imagine my other six friends too....not sure about the rest yet.

In Salalah next to cruise port is a private club called Oasis club,it's for the western ex pats to mix....might head up there,it's got nice views of the ocean and swimming pool & bar and restaurants.

My research was Salalah was the least interesting of the three Oman ports.

Okay, just finished reading the posts.... I think we want to do the Pullmantour Mystic Muscat as well.... have you tentatively  booked any of the tours besides the Petra one ? It would be great if the 8 choose to do all the same tours.... I am now going to check the Pullmantours excursions ...thanks for posting the link... I had been trying to find it but no luck !!!

  10. Are these masks that are being discussed included in the tour or do you have to bring your own?

they are all included... ( different masks/snorkles and sizes ) as well as buoys etc.

  11. We booked a tour in Bora Bora with Lagoon Services and we had a wonderful time. Our guide was Shaq and he made sure we were confortable and even provided some entertainment....singing and playing the ukalele.

Swimming with sharks and rays was an experience we will not soon forget....Bora Bora is simply beautiful !:)

  12. Both my husband and I used the Tribord snorkle masks when we did the tour with Woodwind and loved them. Husband bought one from them ( he paid 100 USD )and I wish I also had bought one. We just did a TP cruise which went to Bora Bora and Mo'orea and all I can say is....my husband just loved using the Tribord easybreadth snorkle....

In honolulu we actually saw a store selling and renting a copy ...they are made in Japan ( I think ) and called H2Oninjamask... if and when I buy one for me I would prefer to buy the original ( Tribord )
