  1. We’re from Texas so we have 120volt electric devices: CPAP machine, Dexcom Glucose Receiver and Biotronix  CardioMessenger for Pacemaker downloads - all devices need to be plugged in at one time or another.  Please recommended a universal adapter we can plug in to the 220volt side on Horizon so 2 devices can be charged at the same time.  Maybe an extension cord would be best for the 120v side.

  2. I have a new Biotronix pacemaker which came with a CardioMessenger Smart device that downloads pacemaker activity  every night to Biotronix.  My questions:

    1.  Has anyone,  with a pacemaker,  ever experienced any problems while cruising on or in foreign ports?

    2.  If your pacemaker downloads like mine, any problems noted?   Do you have to have wifi to download?

    3.  If your pacemaker malfunctioned while on cruise, where you taken off the ship & treated at a hospital?  What was your experience?

Thanks a million to anyone responding.

  3. We leave on Emerald Princess for South American cruise 1/17. According to visacentral.com, a visa is required for the Falkland Islands. I had called Princess 2 weeks ago to check if any visas were required after reading the fine print on Princess that obtaining visas were our responsibility. The Princess consultant checked the visa site and told me no visas were required for any of the countries we were visiting. Now I recheck and see that Falklands require a visa. Any U.S. citizen recently taken this cruise and if so did you need a visa? Thanks in advance!!!

  4. Meats usually come with some kind of sauce or gravy in it...,.avoid this. I always ask for them not to be put on my meats. If you prefer, you can chose to have them on the side thus controlling the amount you eat. There is a high fat content to sauces/gravies and sugar in some. No sugar added desserts are limited. I didn’t search all the responses but exercise is important. Being a retired nurse, I could go on and on but don’t want to repeat what others have said.
