  1. Hi everyone.

We are in a similar position as the OP - We are Diamond + on royal and are sailing on Celebrity for the first time as Elite on the Equinox for a 6 day in July.

With regards to the 5-6PM Happy hour drinks - We have dinner at the early seating (6PM) Can "happy hour drinks" be ordered during dinner in the MDR or only at bars outside the MDR?

Could someone please share details on the "Elite breakfast", including where it takes place?

    Thanks!

  2. Hi everyone.  My party of 8 (All from my office) will be in Cozumel on April 1st while on a 4 day cruise on the Adventure of the Seas.  It seems that there will only be 3 ships in port that day - Us and the Carnival Valor and Paradise so it is a relatively light day.

My usual "go to" on Cozumel is the 6 hour Tucan Sailing Adventure, but on this trip, while I am treating my staff to the cruise, I am not paying for any off ship activities so I have let them pick the activity. They have decided they wish to go to Chankanaab as most of them just want to relax on a beach and a few may want to do other activities such as the Zip lining or Dolphin experience.

Is it necessary or desirable to book the passes in advance or should we just buy them on site if that is an option? (What if the weather is lousy?)  I have read that the AI food options are pretty bad and it is better to just buy the admission and purchase food and drink separately.

    Any advice?

  3. I've stayed at beach beds on both.  South beach is more peaceful and you can walk way out to the sandbar that is a unique experience, but it is more remote. Breezy Bay is near to the Oasis Lagoon and Buffet so it is more convenient. I don't remember wind being an issue at either spot - they are essentially on the same side of the island.

Oh.   The Floating bar is off South beach now where it was at Breezy bay when we were there in June.

  4. Reading the checklist for the bag, it mentions specific types of clothing - for example T-shirts. - and that other items included will be charged at the regular rate.  Has anyone ever tried to see if other shirts like polos or button down shirts were included without the extra charge?

  5. October was my first cruise as diamond. I typically don't drink alcoholic beverages, so I have gone to bars and asked for a ginger ale or Coke and at a few different bars, the  bartender just glanced at my card and gave me the drink and said, "You don't need to use that:" In the MDR,  it was hit or miss for specialty coffees  so YMMV.

  6. Staying the BCH for the night before our June 12th cruise. We have used the day pass there in the past.

Since we we have a 3PM flight out when we return from the cruise. I was thinking about the day pass there, but...

    1. It's likely to be pretty hectic around the hotel due to the next cruise being processed for embarkation.

2.From what I have heard, it takes 2.5-3 hours to make it through check-in, securty and customs at the airport in Nassau for the return....

    3. The price for the day pass at the BCH has gone up significantly since we were there last and it probably isn't worth it for the few hours we would be able to use it.

  7. Thanks for posting this. We’re booked on the June 12th cruise on Adventure. Originally, when we booked, the Coco Cay beach club had two prices ...from my best recollection, one was for about $70 pp and the other for about $160 pp. Looking at the details, I could not see any difference between the two. I knew a sale was coming up, so I figured I’d wait to see what happens.... now the less expensive option is no longer listed....Oh well...

  8. Like many here, my family has had two cruises cancelled in 2020. First was a 7 day on Indy which was to get my wife and I to Diamond.  The second was a family cruise on Oasis for NYE.   In order to take advantage of the double points, I have booked two Jr Suites on Liberty out of Galveston in 2021 - during July and October. Only m y wife and I are sailing on these as our adult children cannot commit due to scheduling.  Anyway, for the Indy cruise cancellation, we  opted for the future cruise planner credit. One of our certificates is for $429. We already have $50 OBC from our TA and presumably another $100 for shareholder credit.  We typically do not spend a lot on board but for Indy we did opt for a few things.  My question is, can I use the FCPC for the casino and play "a little" and cash it out?  Any other advice?
