  1. We just got off Reflection and very much enjoyed pur day in Cartagena. In my opinion tou don't need a tour. Just outside of the port gates we got a taxi. For $20 he took 4 of us to the Castillo San Felipe, dropped us off at the city center for a few hours, took us to La Popa and then back to the ship. We let the pier at 8am and got back at 2:30pm. It was a great day and an incredible bargain.

  2. We got very lucky and boarded before the fire alarm went off. Our friends did get stuck in that mess though. All in all an ok cruise. Food in Lumine is excellent. Food in Oceanview very eeeehhhhh. We did not like Murano at all. Thankfully that meal was comped, I'd have been very upset had I paid for it. Opus was ok although we did have a couple of issues.

One thing is for sure. The Celebrity of the past is gone. Food and service leave a lot to be desired. Entertainment not as good as it used to be, out of 11 nights just one good show.

Look for my review with more details.

  3. No problems here. I logged into RCCL and entered my X Captains Club number. Called 800 to make sure all was good and agent explained points were not transferable but status was.

You won't get points on one and move up to the next tier on the other. However status is transferred from one line to another. Ie: Select on X = Platinum on RCCL.

  4. I'm enjoying your posts about your trip. My husband & I will be on the same itinerary on the Reflection beginning April 2nd. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I will be interested to hear about what you do in each port.

My husband and I with my parents are on that same sailing. I did the spreadsheet for that sailing and you are not on the roll call. Add your name and sign up for the connections party. We have a nice group going!!

  5. With all due respect, when is the last time you were on a =X= cruise? The difference between this past one and the one before two years ago is huge. We did an Oceania cruise (got an amazing deal) in '16 and was blown away. Can't afford them all the time but they are what =X= used to be for us.

My parents are long time X loyals. 6 months ago we took them on an Oceania cruise and they said many times during that sailing that it reminded them of the Celebrity of 12+ years ago. We will be sailing Reflection in about a month after a terrible experience on Summit im summer of 2016. I pray this is a good experience, if not it'll be back to O for us, and cruising less often because of the cost.

You may be right and if you are, we may be looking for another favorite cruise line. It's too bad because we became accustomed to a certain level of professionalism from =X= and this cruise fell FAR short of our expectations.

  6. I pulled that off the Celebrity website today. It's in the "suite life" section on the menu on the left side of the page. If you look closely at the picture it says Royal right above it. Add this to the list of IT woes, I guess. Too bad, I was getting excited about switching my parents and I into this from 2 Sky Suite. My hubby and dad would have loved the hot tub on the balcony!

  7. We met him on Infinity before he was promoted to waiter. He used to be at the entrance to Oceanview with the hand sanitizer. Shortly after that cruise we heard he had been promoted.

Wasn't he awesome? My parents, son, neice and I loved him. I'm glas to hear he was promoted, well deserved indeed! I was hoping we'd run into him on Reflection.
